Long lead time but finally proteccted

We lost power twice in the Texas "deep freeze' in Feb 2021, which caused damage to water heaters and other plumbing. As a result, we ordered a new Generac Generator in April from Grasten. Their pricing was $1,500 less than the first vendor we talked to. They finally installed it in early August, due to high demand. I didn't realize that they had so many steps to install the unit. First they came out and placed the unit, then the plumbers came to hook up the gas line, then the electrician came to install the transfer switches and hook up the electrical connections to the house and finally a tech came out to check everything and set it up to run. Seemed like a lot of scheduling calls. Wifi connecting is not completed yet becasue our home wifi did not reach the unit, so I needed to order a wifi booster/extender and then complete the wifi setup on my own. Feels good to be protected now and looking forward to great service from Grasten.

No more worry if the power may go out

We installed our 22kw and couldn't be happier. We currently have natural springs on our property and in a matter of 30 mins of no power have water all over our basement floor. We have stressed and worried about going away and the power going out. Now that we have installed our generator that stress and worry is gone. We no longer have friends and family monitoring our house. The power recently went out and within seconds the generator immeaditaly came on powering our home and we continued to do everything as if it never happened. Our neighbors had no power for 7 hours while we enjoyed the warmth and comfort. This is such a great product and the price and value are well worth the purchase for the peace of mind.

GenerxGenerators

Super happy with the newest member of the family! From start to finish, the Generx Team delivered as promised to afford peace of mind should we loose power. With the many storms that seem to be in the horizon, we have assurance that our system will keep us up and running. I am certain that the investment will be worth every cent and more. Thanks!

Fantastic Peace of Mind for Uninterruptible Life.

Installed January 2021 (almost 4-years ago) and already have 231+ run hours since. We have this paired with the 200-amp automatic transfer switch. We also have PWRView installed which has helped us monitor and track down our power hungry forgotten gremlins. Where we live, we have frequent power outages, sometimes for weeks. Generac 24kw model 7210 is peace of mind. We actually are in the middle of a giant widespread power outage in the Greater Seattle Area right now (power outage started November 19, 2024). Thanks to Generac, we have 100% of all our electric conveniences without interruption. Paired with Starlink Internet, we have an Uninterruptible Life plus Full Connectivity. We have the Guardian 24kw exercise weekly for 15-minutes (12-hrs runtime annually as proactive exercise). Weekly exercise ensures the oil keeps the engine lubricated. I changed oil at 50-hrs and again at 200-hrs. I keep extra filters + oil in-stock so I can maintain during a prolonged outage. More than enough power to operate our entire extra large home AND charge my electric car with ease. With 4,000 sq ft and 2 kitchens - we can run everything without worry about rationing: 6+ refrigerator/freezers, 2-pumps for septic, electric heat, multiple large 80"+ plus sound system throughout, jacuzzi tub, plus 3 large portable a/c units in the summer. The Guardian doesn't ever hiccup. Our day time idle power draw is 2kw and overnight it's about 650-watts, which means the generator idles most of the time at <10% power draw. Thanks to the Guardian with advanced fuel management, we burn less than 1/2-gallon/hour of propane or less. Economies of Scale, by sizing up our generator large enough to operate everything on-demand we also benefit from the improved fuel-efficiency-per-watt of larger generators. We buried a 1k gallon propane tank so we never run out of propane during a power outage. This provides us about 90-days of generator fuel supply. We have a second 1k gallon propane tank to ensure we have plenty of furnace heat + hot water. Our typical annual fuel consumption is about 1k gallons. During one particularly bad snow storm, we had 18+ inches of snow and ran out of propane plus no electricity in 15 *F weather. Before the next winter I had this Guardian installed. I swore never again and over-engineered to ensure that. In our area, we have gone as long as 3-weeks without utility power and about 4+ weeks between propane fuel resupply due to deep blizzard snow. I also took the time to re-balance/re-wire the breaker panels when installing this generator. Typical USA homes have two 120v power legs. In our house, 90% of our power consumption was on one leg which meant our generators had to run twice as hard with half the power on the second leg completely wasted. By re-wiring our breakers specifically to re-balance all our electric throughout our large house we were able to improve our efficiency immensely. Our electric load is now evenly balanced which allows our generator to operate even more efficiently. Thanks to the convenience of automatic standby, I have been able to travel for work during inclement weather and the generator powered the whole house without worry. The generator has performed flawlessly while I have been away from home. Zero training required for the family once installed professionally. The Guardian is very quiet, even so I had it installed out by the barn. This means that we often lose power without realizing it because we can't hear the generator inside our house. The Guardian takes about 30-seconds to startup before supplying stable clean power. For those critical circuits (wifi, security system, routers, starlink, computers) I have installed several battery backups to bridge the 30-seconds. Due to our jobs (technology + healthcare), we require 24x7x365 connectivity and utilities. Our Guardian has empowered us to remain connected and impactful while working remote during the worst storms.

this product is a god send and meats all our needs

We had a Generac for 15 years and it finely wore out from all the hurricanes we get in Florida and we need electricity due to the medical needs in our family. Between the company that installed the generator and the Generac company you could not ask for a more professional service and they all were very helpful in making sure we understood everything for beginning to end. A special thank you to Holly Electric team (Samuel, Matt and carl) when they finished the job every thing was picked up and clean. I could not ask for a better team Tanks to everyone Awesome job done by all.

HAD NO CHOICE

We were away last winter and had someone check our house every several days. We head a power outage and the electric company forgot to restore our power so we were lucky that the weather was above normat (not freezing). If this had happened a month later we would have had considerable damage. My only negative for Generac is that the propane monitoring system only works in the USA so it is an option we cannot use.

No more flooding basement!

We have our basement trenched, along with 3 sump pumps. The last time our power went out, our battery backup pump ran until the battery exhausted itself. When we got home, I opened the basement door to about 5 inches of water. I fired up our portable generator and plugged in. All pumped out after 25 minutes. Works fine...BUT YOU HAVE TO BE HOME to do this. I researched whole house generators and GENERAC was the best. I now have my own. No more flooded basement plus I don't have to worry about it anymore!! I should have put one in several years ago. I'm a believer!.

Top quality and price

After getting quotes from various whole house generator brands, the choice was obvious! Generac provides the BEST generator at the BEST price. Therefore obviously the BEST VALUE. I read thru every estimate and warranty information; Generac won hands down!

We feel confident that the generator will provide us with protection during power failures.

We were impressed with how everything was handled from the quote to the installation. Generac arranged for 2 quotes. One was by phone and the other was by an actual visit. The phone quote was done by Countryside Electric and we chose them. Although we did not understand how a quote could be done in this way, GI had almost all of the necessary information from searches he did on line. Our biggest problem was that the gas and electric are on opposite sides of the house. GI arranged for his subcontractor to make an actual on site visit so an accurate quote could be made. Matt from Doc Thompson Plumbing did the on site visit and he decided that it would be easiest and most cost efficient to run a dedicated gas line through the house instead of outside. All of the connections are outside. Only the gas line runs through the basement. When it was time for the installation, it was done by Nick and John. They were knowledgeable, polite, and seemed to be very efficient. Brian was here with his helper Dustin on the same day and they also did a very good job with the plumbing. All of the people involved were concerned with doing the job correctly and making it look professional. Although we haven't had a power failure yet, the generator does run once a week for 5 minutes and everything seems to be working correctly. We were very impressed with all of the people involved including Eric and the other office staff that we have talked to. I would recommend a Generac generator and Countryside Electric.
