Well our Generac 22K generator is ready every second every hour of everyday 24/7 peace of mind. Completely satisfied with our generator, comes on once a week for 10 min to do a self test, great feature. We did lose power this winter season and just like generac said the unit will kick on in 10 seconds. Restored power to the house!!!! At that point I said it was worth every penny. Backup power is very important for us due to health issues and provides us the safety and security to remain in our country home. We are on a well and can't live without heat or a/c throughout the year. Knapp's Electric(Generac contractor) and TrueComfort(Gas Line contractor) were very professional and completed a bang up job. The process was well explained and all our questioned expertly answered. We found the cost somewhat high although manageable for long term dependability. Worth it for us. We would highly recommend these contractors. The only negative is that the Dealer-Managed Plan should be included without cost. TKS

Just got this 26KW installed and operational today. We are happy with the test that was done with it and hope will all luck that this will never have to be used, but we have lost many a refrigerator/freezers over time and in our new house we refuse to submit and surrender to mother nature and her moods. We are betting on this 26KW to do her job when called into action.

Did a lot of research and decided on Generac. I am chairman of the board of our local power provider. I had our our staff spec out my size needs, based on my peak usage for the past 6 months. I bought a unit much larger than recommended. When final hook up was done(very expensive) we could not even test the unit because a starter battery was not included. Then the state electrical inspector and my local professional electrician informed me that the breaker in the unit was abou 1/2 of what was needed to power this unit. I still do not have it on line. Very disappointed at this time.

The process was absolutely seamless from the initial inquiry to the actual installation. I was kept informed evry step along the way and I am completely satisficed with my new whole home generator. I look forward to piece of mind knowing I'll always have power, no matter what mother nature throws our way.

My Guardian 22 KW Standby Generator is deficient in the manufacturing process and Quality Control Inspection and acceptance testing. After installation by a Licensed Electrical and Generac approved installer upon initial startup and testing process the electrical Contractor was unable to get the unit to operate properly. Engine started within seconds of turning on however during the testing process numerous issues occurred resulting in a lengthy run times consuming LP fuel due to numerous electrical connections not being able to remain in place (spade type fitting being the biggest issue resulting in repeated protective covering having to be removed and again excessive time spent as well as excessive fuel burn to identify the issue and multiple locations. Recommend that these spade connections be crimped a bit more to preclude the inadvertent disconnection during shipping and or startup and test in place situations. Other than this inconvenience all went well after corrective action taken and the unit work very well. Just hoping that we will never have to use it...But it is there in case.

We were losing power all the time, so we decided to invest in a Generac. After we bought the Generac, we didn't lose power for 6 months! LOL When we lost power for the first time after the installation, the Generac kicked right on and ran for 13 hrs. until the power came back on. I love knowing that I don't have to drag out the Mr. Heaters and the oil lamps any more! The Generac is a lot quieter than I had thought it would be. When I am on the opposite end of the house from it, I can't hear it at all. When I am on the same end, it is just a "humming" sound. I love the comfort that my Generac gives me!

We installed this generator in December 2015 and it has performed great. We live in the country in Nebraska and being without power for several days in the winter or summer is bad. We have our whole house wired into the generator so when the power goes off our generator kicks in. I also installed UPS systems on our Satellite TV, wireless router and televisions. When the power goes off our televisions and Internet are not effected and the generator keeps them charged. It's a great generator and adds value to your home.

I have an associates degree and one of the guys helping with installation is an electrical engineer with 17 patents to his name as well as having worked for NASA . No so much me but i thought this other guy could get generator up and running. What a poor startup menu and instructional manual you have. Beyond frustrated.

The Generac Generator looks good, test good, is waiting for the first power outage to see and feel how it works. The installation time was acceptable. It was more expensive than necessary for all that I had to do to get area ready and the calling, etc. I had to do to get gas meter checked and upgraded in the installation process. BUT it is done. I pray that it works efficiently and long term and that Canter does a good job of monitoring and maintaining its operation.
