I don't think our family used Quilted Northern toilet paper most of the time. We tended to buy a thinner TP by another company because it was recommended by a plumber, i.e., it was easy to flush. However, once Quilted Northern started packaging the TP in paper rather than plastic, it became the only TP we bought. We avoid buying anything plastic, whenever possible, including things that come in plastic packaging. After using if for a couple of weeks, I realized it is an excellent product, far better than most toilet paper we usually used to use. We probably would not have tried the Ultra Soft & Strong if it had not come in paper wrapping. However, now Quilted Northern seems to have given up wrapping its TP in paper. It has gone back to packaging the Ultra Soft & Strong TP in plastic. We are now reluctant to buy it, looking for other alternatives. This is unfortunate because the TP inside the package is very good.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago because I finally getting low. I decided to splurge. While the paper is soft, I am disappointed that we are being shorted. Not only are the rolls about a half inch shorter, they are different sizes within the package. I probably would have noticed except I decided to save the tubes to make some bird feeder tubes. What a joke.

Have you ever seen that Charmin commercial with the little pieces of toilet paper left on the bottoms of the cartoon bears? This is exactly what this does, but worse! I normally dont have much of a problem with this brand but, I dont know why is breaking so bad. Its not strong at all!

Btw, 5 stars for the product itself, minus 4 stars for the stealth inflation. Did you notice that Northern has reduced the number of sheets per roll from 271 to 244 recently? Ignoring the current instant savings of $3, here's the math ... was $22.28 - (271 sheets/roll, 32 rolls) = .2569 cents per sheet now $21.68 - (244 sheets/roll, 32 rolls) = .2777 cents per sheet That’s a fraction off a 10% reduction in paper and a real increase in cost of 8.1%. Welcome to shrinkflation, not the first I've seen and not the last.

This used to be my go to toilet paper, but I don't know what's happening in the last year or two. The quality of this product has absolutely gone downhill. Paper thin, toilet paper that takes no crap from no one. lol no pun intended. The toilet paper has gone downhill Walmart brand and Sam's brand are much better now and more affordable.

We decided to switch up our Quilted Northern choice, and grabbed Ultra Soft & Strong this time. We will never be going back from this option. When I tell you this lasted what felt like forever…Not as much was needed at a time, and withstood 2 almost adult sons.

I have always purchased the Northern Toilet Paper, the Ultra Soft and Strong. Within the last 6 months I have noticed that the strength of the toilet paper has changed. It is thinner and tears easily when you try to wipe. I am unable to use the plush one, makes me itch. I had read that you changed the type of pulp that you use and I for one are not happy about the change. I will use what I have an probably try Charmain.

Never buying this again, had switched to another brand for past 6 months. Picked this up my last time in, when did whoever makes this make the decision to make the rolls so much more narrow than they used to be? Guess that’s one way to make more money than raising the prices.

I have purchased Northern TP for many years but on last 3 to 6 months I have tried all the different types you purchased and they are flaky, kind of powder leaving a mess on our body wiped areas, our underware, the floors and surfaces all over. I am now buying and trying other brands.
