Yes, it is strong, but the softness is nothing special. I do like that it’s a nice white color without any yellowish tint. I also appreciated the pleasant clean scent - there’s no harsh chemical smell. I would buy this paper again.

I have always purchased Quilted Northern TP. I dislike the Charmin commercials with the bears and could never relate to lint-free claim. However, over the past few months the Quilted Northern TP I've purchased has contained a lot of the lint, paper/cottony build up especially at the end of the rolls. In mentioning this to a friend, she too, is having the same issues with your product. This makes for an embarrassing situation especially in a guest bathroom. I believe it may be time to switch to another brand as the quality of the product has decreased, but the price continues to increase.

The quilted northern toilet paper did feel slightly softer. The center was a bit crushed so it didn't roll as smoothly on the roll.

I'm in my 60s & have loved Northern as long as I remember. It's very soft...not rough at all. Now, there is even more to like. Switching from plastic to paper wrapping is not only better for the environment, but I've always hated the plastic on toilet paper & paper towels. They are much too hard to rip open...especially with arthritic hands. I hope you totally do away with it.
