It is much stronger than the original one plus the advantage of getting to choose different colors for different projects. I used this one for a white tarp and it is holding pretty good, no more tears or leaks.

Used this tape to box up several heavy boxes of dishes and books for donation, each weighing approximately 15-20 pounds. Tape worked great, very strong and solid grip, and no buckling or peeling away upon movement. The tape is thick, but I was still able to tear off pieces without needing scissors. Best of all, it wasn’t “gummy” and didn’t stick to my fingers or get stuck to itself, as some tape tends to do! It was easy to use, very clean, and held up well! Recommended. White duct tape by Duck brand is an interesting thing to have on hand, as its intended to match your project better than the normal grey. I actually foresee this being used more in our household more because it is just more pleasing to the eye. It has all the qualities of normal duct tape, great stickiness, all weather wear, strength.
