Uncomfortable when reclined

Couldn't test the chair in a reclined position in the store due to lack of power. When reclined, the plywood is not adequately padded in the armrests where my elbows rest, making it very uncomfortable to rest my arms. The seating surface is also pretty firm, but this may break in over time. This will likely be returned soon.

I really tried to like the chair, unfortunately there is no lumbar support and the cords were on the wrong side of the chair and caused a tripping issue. I found another chair by same company that has no chords %26 looks as though it does have lower back support.

Horrible customer service! They put us through terrible stressful four hour long conversation on the phone and in the end we still had to return damaged furniture and wait for someone to pick it up and they told us to repurchase the furniture without any discounts. He hung up the phone on us. Very disrespectful and very disappointed! We would have been okay with a partial refund or replacement, so we would've gotten the sofas fixed by someone professinal. We've been with Sam's Club since 2000, but now, with this traumatic customer service experience. We won't be with them any longer.

Nice, good value but not for tall people

This chair is, IMO, a good value. I paid $566, it may occasionally go for less. It looks like it's well-made and sturdy, it's attractive, and it was pretty easy to put together. There are four parts: the base, the back, and two pieces that fit on either side of the back. Then snap the wiring together at the back and plug it in. The mechanical functionality works very smoothly. You have the option to go back, which makes the back of the chair recline and the foot rest raise. I don't think the base moves at all. You can also adjust a headrest with the second electronic button. You cannot adjust the back of the chair independently (it adjusts only in conjunction with the foot rest so once reclined with your feet up, you cannot, say, lift the back up a bit). I got this recliner for the bedroom. I feel from a bit of a height and hurt my back and leg and I still cannot sleep in bed all night. I have been sleeping in one of our recliners in the living room for two years because of this. I really wanted to get back to sleeping in the bedroom. I thought that having a recliner in the bedroom would be a good move toward that ultimate goal of sleeping in bed again. At least I now am sleeping in there instead of in the living room. We have two really great recliners that we got from AHF in Santa Fe. They are not LaZBoy but I don't recall the brand. They are bigger, wider, and plusher than this chair. I can also adjust the back of the chair independently so I could really get myself in a great position for sleeping. I still haven't found the best sleeping position in this Member's Mark chair but of course it's not designed for the way I'm using it. It does go all the way back which is a nice option, though I prefer sleeping "propped up" a bit. The one issue I see with this chair, and others have mentioned it, is that the foot rest is short. I'm about 5' 4 1/2" tall and my legs are not long - my feet extend out over the foot rest. If I had shoes on to watch tv I might not notice it as much but my feet are bare and I can really feel that my feet are unsupported so I shuffle my feet around quite a bit through the night. If you are tall and you plan to recline for whatever reason, I really suggest you get a different chair. Overall this chair is very nice IMO. I'm glad to have it. I didn't want something as big and bulky as my living room recliner so yes, there are a few compromises, but I can now shut off the tv at night and walk to the bedroom to go to sleep in this chair and I'm very happy about that. When I eventually am able to sleep in bed again, I'll give this nice chair to a friend or family member :)

Quality built chair with premium features.

Solid build with nice top grain leather. The looks is modern sharp. It has a wide seat. I'm 5'7 and fit into it nice. My feet do go off the end when reclined but only very slightly. The fact the head rest adjust makes a big difference. I'm typing from the recliner now with my Aussie lying next to me in the chair. It's not a plush feel. It's soft to the touch and it really smell of leather. I'm thinking it will take years to break in. It warms to the touch too and is comfortable. I'd recommend it, especially for the price.

Little bit firm, but sturdy quality so far.

Better quality than I expected, its advertised as genuine leather on all the contact areas, and vinyl on the rest, but i could not find anything on the attached lables indicating that. The materials label under the foot rest showed polyester foam pad, batting and polyester fiber. The surface material does feel different than the side and back coverings, so going to need to trust that the contact material really is genuine leather. The chair is very firm and sorta hard but that usually changes a bit after use. Its the most economical leather recliner i have run across and im not dissatisfied with it, just would like somewhere on the box or paper work to say its leather. Made in Vietnam, seems to be a level or two better than the chinesium furniture you can get.

Love this recliner

I would put this recliner up against ANY lazy boy for comfort and quality. Quality leather, firm no sag seating, handy USB ports etc. Only thing I'd make the controls easier to reach and highly suggest it to manufacturers. Ad a 5ft. 10 lady the foot rest could be longer but for the price and comfort, I love this recliner!

Decent Chair for the Price

Considering I went from a 30 year old rocker recliner that probably had some health code violations pending, decent chair for the money. Assembly was simple. Footrest could be a few inches longer. I ordered a gray chair which the box indicated, but the brown one was in the box. Good thing I was considering either color. Wish it leaned back more when reclined, but overall comfortable.

Beautiful chair. Sits well in store but it stops there. Wings pieces do not fit correctly. Recliner raises feet all the way up before back begins to recline. Neck power does not support enough. No support for lower back when reclined.
