Sealy Embody 10" Firm Memory Foam Mattress

Bought this for my mom for Christmas and she loves it. Thinking about buying one for myself

Looked for a Firm mattress and thought this is a good one based on reviews. But this is not at all firm. Now I am stuck with a mattress which I can't return.

Wish there are some guidelines to measure Firm level and they have them published in the site so will be easy for us to decide.

Not FIRM

The mattress comes rolled up in a box, which makes it very easy to move to its final location.  It is as heavy as a regular mattress so have a friend handy to help you. It takes approximately 24 hours to fully expand so I would wait until at least then to judge the comfort.  It has a slight chemical smell when you first unpack it but it dissipates within a day or two.  The mattress was cool to the touch when laying down and was very comfortable. It also had a good balance of firmness and "give".  I am a side sleeper and frequently wake up with a sore shoulder.  This was definitely more comfortable than my old mattress.  The firmness was also great in that it did absorb a good deal of movement without transmitting it across the whole mattress. I loved that it did not disturb my wife sleeping next to me when I roll over to switch shoulders during the night.  The only issue I had was that the edges of the mattress were not as firm as my previous mattress.  I sometimes like to lay on the edge when I power nap and it is pretty easy to roll over the edge if you do not pay attention.  Other that that, I am quite pleased with it.
