Purchased this to replace a cheaper brand I’ve had for a few years in my bedroom. It was easy to install and operate. I’ve noticed a huge difference and improvement in how quickly the room is cooled and maintained on the auto feature. Previous air conditioner never seemed to shut off! I live in an old farmhouse without much insulation so the temp in my bedroom can hit 90 pretty quickly on hot days. The Windmill gets the room cooled quickly and maintains that temp. Finally, I can sleep comfortably!

I love the look of the air conditioner. The install was very simple thanks to your detailed directions. BUT! It’s much louder than I expected. The only time it’s quiet is in the fan mode. All other modes come with a high pitched ring that is almost unbearable to me. So… not in love with this but also don’t want to deal with a return. Maybe there’s something wrong with this unit?

I appreciate how aesthetically attractive the Windmill is, and I can see a lot of thought went into making the installation process user-friendly. I also appreciate that the return was easy. But, a lot of people out there like me are experiencing the same issue where the temperature the AC puts out is 5-7 degrees higher than the setting. The fix support suggested didn't work (and the fix wasn't really clearly documented, which was frustrating). I am not sure the design choice to put the vents on the top make for the most efficient cooling, either. It seems you have some quality control issues at the moment, which I hope you work out.

It’s my first window air conditioner, so I don’t have anything to compare it to. It is heavy, so I needed to recruit a strong neighbor friend to carry it up the stairs and help place it in the window. We added a block of wood on the inside windowsill to carry the weight, otherwise the entire weight would be carried by a thin vertical piece of plastic that is my vinyl window trim. The design of my window did not allow the thinner edge of the side panel to slide into the window channel, which it appears to be designed to do. I used the provided black foam insulation to compensate for the imperfect fit and fill the gaps. We used only the center window screw and blocks of wood over the top of the window frame to prevent it from opening, so I did not have to screw lots of holes into my vinyl window casing. The internal temperature guage registers cooler than other room thermometers and my Echo device, but I plan to adjust for that by setting a higher temp. The app is simple to use and easy to install. The delivery company paid no attention to the “This Side Up” instructions on the box. It was left on its side when delivered, but so far seems ok. I have it on Eco mode with the fan set to low, so it is really pretty quiet. Great packaging and instructions; the company obviously is making every effort to make this simple for customers, even including a decent pair of scissors to cut the side panels to length. I ordered directly from Windmill and the unit was delivered in two days. The product available on Amazon is not the newer “whispertech” model, and Amazon does not make it known that there is a newer, more efficient, quieter, (more expensive) model available, which is going to make some people unhappy when they find this out. I am using this in an upper level painting studio where I and my paintings have been suffering in over 90 degree heat for at least a few weeks every summer, so I am pretty excited about the improved atmosphere. Also want to add that I really appreciate the marketing video of the person in the red outfit, which alone would make me choose this company over others.

We loved our Windmill from the second we took it out of the box. Instructions were simple and clear. Installation was quick. We got the unit for the window of a shed that we’re using as a little homeschool room. I don’t need the space cooled 24/7, but I wasn’t sure how the unit would do with intermittent use. It’s been perfect. We turn it on when we go out there and the room is cool in a short amount of time—during a hot Texas summer. BEST PART: The unit stopped working. I tried everything. I reached out to customer service. They walked me through some steps. When we couldn’t get it working again, because it was still under the year warranty, they sent me a replacement. I’m floored that Windmill backs up the quality of their product this way. Next time I need an AC unit like this, Windmill is the brand I buy.

I can’t say enough about my new Windmill Whispertech AC unit. First, for a window unit, it’s incredibly quiet! But also, ordering and shipping were easy and efficient. I really appreciate good customer service, and Windmill’s has been top notch. Additionally, I’m very happy with the ease of installation and the app is quite useful. I never thought I’d say this because it’s an AC, but it actually looks great! It’s very aesthetic and looks good in my living room. If you are looking for an efficient, quiet, good looking air conditioner, Windmill is the way to go. Worth every bit of the price.

Really excellent AC for city apartments - I was able to haul it up my walkup and install it myself very easily. Design and efficiency super nice, the 8000 and 6000 BTU units cool and dehumidify my rooms really well. Customer support is amazing if you have any issues. However, the newer app needs work

For those of us that are smart phone illiterate, it would be handy if a hard copy of the owner's manual was included. However, it was easy to download a copy of your website. Otherwise, the installation was quite simple and only took a few minutes. The machine is quite. I'm looking forward to hot weather!

We purchased 4 of these units in 2021. Other than one having a weird issue and needing to be replaced, we have had nothing but a positive experience. They are aesthetically pleasing and work fairly efficiently. Would highly recommend to anybody needing a window AC unit.
