Strong and effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bleach is strong and effective for cleaning and sanitizing surfaces. The three pack is nice to have during this time with the virus going on. I can keep a bottle in my laundry room. I use on white clothing to keep them looking clean and white like new. I keep a bottle in the bathroom for weekly cleaning and sanitation. And last I keep a bottle under the kitchen sink for daily use.

Its watered down

I figured i got lucky that i was able to get some clorox because of the shortage right now. Item arrived today, but box and all bottle seals were broken. In my opinion someone is watering down this item, i guess because of the demand for it right now.

"Performance Bleach" vs. Regular Clorox

I purchased two boxes of Clorox Performance Bleach (3 bottles each) at my local Sam's Club this week. The box says it "Makes 138 Gallons" and each bottle is labeled as "Concentrated." This lead us to believe it was, in fact, concentrated and would mix 138 gallons of bleach at the regular concentration. After we returned home, I looked for the directions for how to mix a bottle of regular concentration bleach. This are no directions. I then compared a bottle of the new Concentrated bleach to a bottle of regular, Splash-less Clorox bleach already in my pantry...both suggest using 1/2 cup of bleach per laundry load, poured straight from the bottle, no mixing ratios. Also, I opened each of the six Concentrated bleach bottles...they do not have the same (strong) bleach scent as the bottle of Splash-less bleach I already had, which makes me wonder if they are a watered down product. (The box containing the three bottles looked pristine and unaltered.) What makes this product "Concentrated" and different than any other bottle of Clorox bleach and why is the smell so "weak?" How does the advertising of 138 gallon work into the mix?

DO NOT USE IN WATER WELLS

Folks, this is not your Momma's original Clorox. Per my research, each of the 7 varieties of Clorox brand liquid bleaches now contain some combination of UNSAFE ADDITIVES (polymers, degreasers, foamers, etc.). These changes to Clorox bleach formulas were made between 2019-2022. The web site implies they were required to change their formula due to a federal EPA regulatory change. DO NOT ADD - IN ANY AMOUNT - TO DRINKING SOURCES. Believe it or not, many local and state health department still recommend using liquid Clorox for disinfecting water wells, as is occasionally needed. All liquid Clorox products (USA) now have additives that you don't want in your water supply. I repeat, do not use liquid Clorox to sanitize or "shock" treat a water well if you intend to drink the water, or bathe in it. The EPA changed a regulation and the basic/original formula is no longer sold to the public in the USA.
