very sleek looking unit, quiet, and very easy to install. Love the Wi-Fi settings feature. I can adjust it while lying in bed, or change the settings if I forgot to before leaving home.

The unit is better insulated than a typical a/c unit. Comes with foam insulation strips for the window channels and styrofoam panels that you trim to size to cover the accordion sides of the unit. Hopefully this will allow us to leave the unit in the window year round. This is a big plus for us in that we are an "older" couple and putting in an a/c unit in the window every year gets harder and harder. It's also a nice looking unit.

Happy so far

When I first turned it on, I wasn't even sure it was on! The compressor makes a tiny bit of noise when it first comes on for 4-5 seconds, and then after that I can barely hear it. It cools the room much more quickly than my old unit. After that, I can use the Eco mode to maintain the temperature. I was able to install the app with no issues.

Love the look of this and the installation was pretty easy! Having an app for your ac makes it feel so fancy but it's also so nice to be able to set it to whatever temp you need before getting into the room. It's a great machine and blows the air up so it's not blowing directly on you but is cooling the whole room.

We had a windmill air conditioner we bought a year ago . We installed it this year and had a problem with the unit. I contacted the support team at Windmill. Maggie was very helpful thru the whole process. We tested the unit in several different ways.To no success so they replaced the unit. I've had my eye on Windmill since they first came out. Once it came time to purchase a new AC they were the only one on my list. So far, so good. I'm not disappointed with my purchase & more importantly my cat approves. It's my first summer with her & I knew I wanted something I could control remotely to ensure she is comfortable while I'm working. Love the companion app & the option to use with Alexza since I have a smart home. Customer service has also been top notch. I don't typically write reviews but wanted to show support to this New York based company. Partnership with Task Rabbit is also appreciated. Used them to install.

Nice AC

I've owned a number of Windmill ACs over the years... love their brand, app experience, and ease of install, but had always been bummed they didn't make a much smaller size 5000 BTU unit for a small room in my house. Now they have... and I couldn't be happier! It's compact yet powerful, and cools that room perfectly. Connects to the same Windmill Air app too. Definitely recommend.

Compact and sleek!

I had an issue with my original purchase and one day the device stopped working on me. It just started blowing hot air during a heat wave. The product was only purchased less than a year and I was very disappointed. Out of all days, it stopped working during a heat wave. Nevertheless, as I reached out to windmill customer support they were able to expedite and resolve the issue immediately. Thank you for resolving my issue and saving me from this summer heat.

Heatwave savior!

I've owned 4 Windmill window air conditioners for several years and highly recommend them. I'm a picky consumer and I do a lot of research and expect good quality and this is the only brand that I will buy. It's a family company that truly cares about their products and customer service. The units are very easy to install. The units disperse the cool air in a way that is much more effective than conventional units. The remote control and the app makes setting and making changes very easy. The app reminds you when to clean the filter and it's quick and simple. The overall design is attractive and it sits in your window looking pretty and doing its job while blending nicely into the background. If you have any questions or need any help their customer service is top-notch.

Windmill window air conditioner

My air conditioner gets more compliments than I do! It is the most aesthetically pleasing AC you'll ever find. And, if you're in it for more than just looks, the performance is excellent! Everything from how the AC is packaged (so thoughtfully) to the installation (so easy) to the functionality (so versatile with WiFi) is A-plus. Can't recommend Windmill highly enough!

It looks cool and it does cool!

I live in New England where the summers are long, hot, and humid. I was excited to get the A/C but sadly it did not live up to expectations. The packaging, customer service, the design were great, but when it came to actually doing the job, it was weak. I put it on the lowest possible temperature and at the highest speed and I woke up in the middle of the night feeling warm. The next day, I swapped it out for my frigidaire AC and now my room is an ice locker.
