SKILLET (preferred method):
1. Place 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in skillet and add carnitas
2. Heat over medium-high heat for 6 minutes for a crispy authentic appearance and until heated through
1. Preheat oven to 350°F
2. Line a sheet pan with aluminum foil and sprinkle vegetable oil and a single layer of carnitas
3. Cook for 15-18 minutes in the oven
CHEF'S NOTE: For crispier carnitas, increase the temperature to 400°F for the last 5 minutes in the oven
FOR AN AUTHENTIC FINISH: Before serving, squeeze the juice of half a lime or 1 tablespoon of orange juice over the hot carnitas, toss and enjoy
