Uncompromising methods of vineyard management, grape oversight and cellar maturation are the winemaking principles that allow Sonoma-Cutrer to create wines unlike any other. The Sonoma Coast Chardonnay reflects a balance of fruit flavors and oak aging, creating a fuller-bodied wine. The creamy richness of this wine is balanced with a bright acidity and highlighted with flavors of apple, pear and lemon zest.
Over the past 37 years, SonomaCutrer has earned a reputation of craftsmanship by steadfastly choosing quality over quantity. The winery is known for crafting world-class expressions of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir by marrying traditional Burgundian winemaking methods with our own California innovation. Sonoma-Cutrer Winery employs proprietary production techniques and practices to ensure the highest standards are achieved, such as hand-harvesting at midnight and hand-sorting, directional planting (207 degrees true north), proprietary French oak barrels and a proprietary chilling tunnel. Try pairing this wine with rich fish such as turbot, grilled veal chops with mushrooms, cheddar cheese, late-summer vegetables such as red peppers, corn, butternut squash and pumpkin. It also complements grilled tri-tip, braised short ribs, or pasta with prosciutto quite well.
