Fully cooked for a fast, but proper supper when  time is tight. Thaws from frozen in jiffy. I like to cube it and add to a pot of pinto beans. Put the “striped suit” on at the grill and brush w/BBQ sauce. Warm through and slightly brown adds southern charm to a couple of veggies. Why eat out!

These ham steaks have a very good flavor. They allow me to have ham without buying much larger cuts.

Great Choice for ham steak dinner

I pick up a pack of these every time I go to Sam's.  They keep for a long time in the fridge.  They are just the right size for a family of 4.  Nice and thick and juicy.  Serve with green beans and potatoes for a yummy Sunday dinner but inexpensive enough to have any night of the week.

Easy and Quick Delicious Dinner

I buy the package of 3 and freeze them in 3 separate freezer bags and I that one out at a time for dinner for my husband and I. The price allows us to have a nice dinner each time at a very reasonable cost. Make with butter noodles and a nice marinade sliced tomato and enjoy

This Ham Steak is good with a meal, but it is a little too salty if you don't boil it some first to eliminate some of the salt before frying. Smithfield needs to go easier on the salt - but I'm sure they are just trying to use the added salt as a preservative. Many older folks, like myself, have to watch salt intake.

A Good Buy, But A Bit Salty

These are good ham steaks. They do contain quite a bit of water (which, of course you're paying for). That's why the three star rating, but I just cook them in a skillet over medium Heat until the water is gone and they crisp up nicely. Once the water is gone it's nice, sweet ham.

Good ham steaks

I really can't give an accurate review because I ordered the ham online. The shopper didn't pick the best item, all the slices weren't vacuumed packed, I cooked a piece, took a bite and couldn't eat it.

Need better shoppers

Likely will not use this. It's not the same anymore. Hadn't bought it in a while but it had always been enjoyable. Smokey, pleasant salt and sweet. Now: literally no smoke, more salt (not pleasantly so) and no sweet. Just bland salty protein.

It's changed. Not for better

We have bought these before and enjoyed them, but this time they were disgusting. I have never seen so much thick fat on a piece of ham before! I bought them from curbside pickup so I didn't see it until I got home. After cutting around the fat I lost my appetite and just threw it away. I still have 2 more that will most like be tossed as well.
