I purchased this to put valuable documents in so they would be protected in the event of a fire or flood.  The safe arrived in perfect condition and is very easy to operate. I had read some reviews that said the handle was not sturdy enough but I think it works just fine.  I have no complaints and this is more than adequate for what we purchased it for.  I think it was a good buy for the price and much more practical than having everything in a safe deposit box offsite.

Great safe

I did a lot of research on various safe models before purchasing this one, and I am totally satisfied with what I selected.  It is the perfect size for my needs, it came with bolt down hardware, and it is easy to operate.  A nice bonus feature is the light inside.  The Sam's price was better than anywhere else.

Perfect safe for my needs!

I wanted a small safe to keep documents in until I could transfer them to the bank safe deposit box. This is just the right size for me.  I was curious about the little moisture absorbing packet inside.  Instructions say because it is a water proof safe it can retain moisture and the packet should be put in an oven every few weeks to dry it.  I wonder if there is an alternative?

Good size for document folders.

Our large gun safe is a pain in the butt to open quickly, and doesn't have an official fire rating. This little guy seemed like the perfect fit to store smaller items with an added layer of protection. Easy to open very quickly, the light, gray and keypad all do exactly what they're supposed to, and it's heavy enough that you couldn't move it quietly. 5/5

I like

Easy to set up. Just pop in batteries and ready to go. I have not had it long enough to do an accurate review as far as having any problems. It still has the new smell. Interior light is great. I love the storage area on the Inside of the door. One reason I chose it over some others. I don't plan to bolt mine to my new hardwood floors. Hopefully will never test the fire and water proof abilities.

perfect size and weight for me as a single woman.

I do love the size of the safe, it is much better than the size that my safety deposit box was for sure. I like that it is fire and waterproof. The handle seems a little flimsy but otherwise it's a very solid state. The only thing that really bothers me is watching videos of where they can open it in less than two seconds with an earth magnet so for that reason I don't think this is a good safe for if your house was burglarized and a thief knew what they were doing.

I purchased this safe because it reported that it would accommodate a notebook up to 13.8 in H x 12.6 in W x 11.9 in D. In truth, I was able to put my notebook of this size into the safe. 

However.

I was not able to close the safe door with the notebook inside. Only after I removed the inner plastic on the door (for keys, etc.) was I able to close the safe door. Although I am pleased with the safe itself, I was disappointed with this problem.

Good safe, but misleading dimensions

If you ever decide to buy this and you don't own a car, I still recommend going there to pick it up some how rather than having it shipped, I got 2 dents (huge dents) on my safe and never complained because I am not gonna carry this back or pay any further expenses just to bring it there unless they want to provide me an amazing experience by dropping off a new one and taking this dented one. Other than that, it is good but the handle to open the safe is plastic and seems like it can break with applied force. Sometimes when you pressed the right code to unlock, it won't unlock after a few seconds. It's a good safe. The light inside the safe will shut off after a few seconds, so hurry up and grab what you need..

Got some flaws

Poor excuse for a safe. The spring for the lock actuator is so weak that if you jar the safe on the front and turn the handle it will unlock. Behind the door is a sorry excuse for locking bolts. I would have felt better had this been marketed as a fireproof/waterproof “case” and not a “safe”. 0% security.

Weak

This works when it wants to, I change batteries and ol still locked out of it. Sometimes it takes me 20 to 30 minutes to get in.  It's not like that I'm putting the combination in wrong because it's a number pad it registers when it wants to or it locks me out for no reason apparently there is a recall on it

You've been warned don't put anything in there
