Many of you may not be familiar with what a pepperoni roll is or where it even came from. A pepperoni roll is sliced pepperoni rolled up with cheese inside of a sweet-type roll. They are baked to perfection, packaged and then distributed for you to enjoy. The pepperoni roll comes packaged in different sizes for your personal preference, but the taste remains the same.
The pepperoni roll was first made by Italian immigrant coal miners in West Virginia to bring back to the mines in the late 1950's. They were perfect for miners because they had to go deep into the mines for many hours at a time and pepperoni rolls wouldn't spoil like many other foods would. Pepperoni rolls are unique because you can eat them at any time, anywhere, or anyplace with no refrigeration required just as the miners did!
Perfect for lunches, camping trips, beach trips, traveling, hiking, or anywhere on the go. These tasty treats can be eaten at room temperature or can be heated in the microwave for 15-20 seconds to be eaten warm. You may also add your favorite topping for added enjoyment! The people at Rogers and Mazza's Bakery hope that you enjoy our pepperoni rolls and what many call "the official state food of West Virginia."
