I live in NC and the cold an come and go depending on what day it is. This heater keeps the cold out! I bought two one in the kitchen and one in the living room and my entire apartment is nice and cozy.

Two thumbs up

This is great little heater, takes me back to my radiator days when I was a young child almost all of the homes and businesses had radiators not the blow heat you find today. They worked great and this heater works great, with a lot of added features , a full function remote control, a timed shut off, a thermostat that automatically maintains the temperature of the room and convection heating. It's oil filled so it maintains the temp longer.

Great Little heater

I really NEVER in my wild imagination thought a heater could be this fabulous.  A 75 year old friend of mine could no longer afford his rent and moved into a remodele(sort of) attic that had no neat at all. he immediately got,very I'll from being so,cold,all,of,the time.He could only afford a little heater from Goodwill that did not keep him warm at all.  I saw this one advertised and bought it for him.  I visited for,the first time yesterday and the whole attic was toasty warm.  We are both thrilled with it.
We have both told everyone about it.  You will NEVER find a better heater than this EVER!!!!!!   Thank you SOOOO much.  I would recommend this to anyone.  Jan March

Best heater EVER!!!!

The heater is silent.  I only wish I would have tried one these a long time ago.  I didn't notice much of a difference in my electric bill.  I really like the remote control.  A few things I didn't care for:  the LCD screen is a bit small ... hard to tell the am from the pm when setting the time.  The timers weren't that easy to figure out.  They didn't prove as useful as I had hoped for.  So I basically used the heater around the clock to keep my room warm.

An exceptional Heater

We purchased this heater to help with our electric bill. It is keeping the room with 30' ceilings very warm. Won't know about cost til I get a bill.

After burning out 3 Fan Heaters & tiring of the constant groaning noise of the fan, I purchased this unit as an alternate heat source.
Electricity has risen in cost but so has Natural Gas & I was saving money by dropping the thermostat on my boiler & using a 1500watt electric heater in the living room at night.
This Oil Heater by DeLonghi is absolutely fantastic !
Firstly, the heat generated is a very nice kind of heat, a radiant heat that is much better than hot air blowing in your face.
Secondly, it uses the same 1500watt on "High" setting as most heaters do but in my opinion it generates much more heat for the 1500watt investment.
Thirdly, the options are awesome. I can choose a Low, Medium or High setting OR set the thermostat & the heater will drop to Medium when the set temp is reached & on Medium I am only using 900watts.
I LOVE THIS HEATER !!!
Tip: I place my heater on the floor but under the outer edge of my ceiling fan blades (leaving the fan switched OFF) The heat rises & rotates the fan in Reverse which is the Winter direction. The warm air up at the ceiling is then re circulated around the room. I can turn the fan on but even on the lowest setting it creates too much of a draft so this system works perfectly for me.

I bought 2 of these at the same time. I always read reviews before purchasing anything online & they definately helped. When we got them, we took them into the basement & turned them each on, as recommended to burn off the initial smell. We did put paper down which were were glad for, since one of the heaters leaked & then of course started to smoke like crazy. That one we returned to the store. The other runs great, heats pretty fast & works well. I would definately recommend this brand & type of heater. We also tried an infrared & I did not care for it as much. The return process was quick & easy.

Good Heater for the cost

The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because it is hard to tell if it is on or not. There needs to be some sort of a light or indicator letting you know the unit is on and working. I am never quite sure if I have it programmed correctly or not but it always works out and seems to stay on until I turn it off. Once I had to actually unplug it to get it to turn off.

Great product

This heater is perfect for an enclosed area, I would recommend it for a bedroom or another room where you can contain the heat by closing a door. People have mentioned a clicking sound, it is not loud enough to wake someone up from a deep sleep in my opinion. I use one in each of my children's rooms which measure roughly 12 x 14 and they do a great job producing a sustained and comfortable heat. We set it between 67-69, depending on the weather. When first purchased, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND running the unit on maximum for a total of 24 hours to get rid of the initial "factory smell." It does not have to be 24 hours straight, I just found the smell to disappear after that time period. Luckily we have an outside power outlet, this way you avoid having the smell inside. Obviously make sure it's not going to rain when you set it outside. Happy with our purchase.
