Description

Mounds® Candy Bar (1.75 oz., 36 ct.) can help you conjure up thoughts of tropical getaways, blue water and white sand, even when you’re stuck at the office. These chocolate and coconut candy bars are the perfect blend of sweet and creamy and with a box this size, you could imagine yourself a month-long vacation.

Why Do Chocolate and Coconut Taste So Good Together?

Macaroons, coconut cream pies, the Mounds Candy Bar, they all have one thing in common: that undeniably delicious combination of coconut and chocolate. Some people may wonder why it is that they just can’t resist it, and there’s science behind it. While coconut meat is itself just slightly sweet, it provides a dramatic soft crunch and snap with a creaminess that’s unrivaled by anything else in the fruit world. But you’d probably agree that it’s not the same kind of sweet as chocolate. The combination of the two works every time. It’s called flavor layering. The perfect combination of not too sweet and not too creamy gives your brain a positive response.

Where Can You Use These Coconut Candy Bars?

If you can’t trust yourself to keep the whole box at home or at the office, there are a few ways to get rid of that delicious temptation. Since they’re individually wrapped, it’s easy to sell them at a concession stand or in vending machines, or they go perfectly in gift and Easter baskets, lunchboxes, backpacks and briefcases. If you really want to make a stir, give these full-size bars away at Halloween and you’ll be named the favorite house on the street.

About Almond Joy and Mounds Candy Bars

Peter Paul Halajian was a candy seller in Connecticut in the early 1900s. With a few other Armenian investors, the Peter Paul Candy Company was formed in 1919. The company sold several kinds of candies, but due to sugar and coconut shortages of World War II, they dropped most of the other brands and put all of their efforts into the Mounds Candy Bar. The Almond Joy bar was introduced in 1946 and in 1988 Almond Joy and Mounds candy bars joined the Hershey’s family of brands to be loved across the globe.
