it wasn't hard at all to cut this meat up. It was my very first time buying this and attempting to cut it up on my own. That being said I so much prefer just buying pre-cut meat and not having to deal with all the extra parts such as some blood pools and the extra gristle and fatty parts. I'll probably still buy this again because the price is so much better than buying the pre-cut meats and it really didn't take me that long to do it all. I ended up making several steaks and a roast, and I used the scrap meat for kebabs. All of it was delicious.  My husband said the steak was the best that he has had.

Great value!

Prepared in my electric roaster. The roast came out perfect! Sections of well done, medium, and rare. Some guests that have had trouble chewing beef commented that it was the first beef they had enjoyed in years.

Everybody loved it

I finally did it.. I thawed one out and then brined and cured it, for four days, tossed it in the smoker with a couple pork butts, some brats.. all brined and cured as well.. and even a pan of paprika for 10 hours at 200f with mesquite and whiskey oak chips.. with 3 more hours in a Dutch oven at 325, to finish it off…

Pastrami time!

It's beef !  I sent this through my electric grinder.  I had to grind it twice because there was a lot of gristle and connective tissue.  Grinder took care of that.  Otherwise it was fine.  Made tasty ground beef.  Hamburgers and meatloaf etc..  Not sure how it would be as a roast. Decent price for beef, although my grocery store often has beef (usually round) on sale for the same or lower price.  Sam's is not ALWAYS the lowest price around.

GOOD

Love it!  We take it home and cut it into smaller roasts and use the food saver to put it in the freezer.  We use left over roasts to make soups, stews, sometimes grind into to burger.

great taste

I have bought this several and it is the best sirloin tip roast i've bought in quite a while.  I can get 3 or 4 good size roast from this whole side which helps me have roast anytime i want to by freezing it.

Sirloin tip roast

I absolutely love this sirloin tip roast! It's a bit of a job to cut up into smaller chunks and to remove the silver skin or fat. It's cooks up very tender and delicious!

MEAT

First off this is a great deal. On top of that the cut is delicious and lean. I made steaks, carne asada, bacon and stir fry out of this cut. I would highly recommend it as a lean healthy cut of meat that you can use in a lot of different ways.

Current supplier's quality is not up to standard. The grain in this roast went in so many different directions that it was nearly impossible to cut decent sirloins. Had to make much higher percentage of stew meat.

Top roast

The price was really good but unfortunately, I purchased 3 packs of this meat and one of them even when exp date on the label was good, when I went home and opened it, the meat was bad. It had a very bad smell. I spent $68 on this pack and had to throw it away. Sent an email and never got a response back. Love buying from Sam's club, but never buying meats there again
