MM STANDAGE RECLINER FALL 2019

My brother recently had quadruple bypass surgery in Casper, WY. I drove from OKC to Casper to assist him in his recovery. 
When I offered to buy him a new TV for his birthday, before his surgery, he showed me this recliner at Sam's and said he would prefer the recliner over the TV. It seemed like a good purchase and was very comfortable. 
It became obvious during his hospital stay, that he could not sleep in a bed, due to the congestion in his lungs and his difficulty in getting up from bed. So I went to Sam's to get it home before he was released from the hospital. Sam's loaded it into his pickup with a fork lift and I called a friend to help me get it in the house. It is not light (over 100#) and you will need some strong help to get it inside.
Assembly took about 15 minutes and went together easily. That's when I realized the chair had a  charger and a USB cable attached to the right side below the arm rest. That was really helpful during his recovery to keep his phone handy and charged next to him so that he could text or call family and friends. The arm rests are several inches wide so a cell phone easily sits on the arm rest.
For the first several nights, over a week, he slept in this chair exclusively. It was easy for him to rock forward to the edge of the seat so that he could stand without using his arms. In the first several weeks, bypass patients are in serious danger of harming their chest if they extend their arms or use them to lift or push themselves up. They must use their legs primarily while crossing their arms over their chests to minimize the use of their arms.
He was really happy with the chair and said it was far more comfortable than the chair he had to sleep in during his hospital recovery.

Quadruple bypass healing

Chair was in stock at a good price, easy to setup, sturdy. I am 6'-6" and 230 pounds so no chair really "Fits" my height, but this was one of the best I found. It has been working well for about a month, using it every evening.

Love this chair. Wish I had bought it before now. Had hip replacement surgery and it is the only chair that supports legs,head and hip.

Great chair. However they advertise it as $399. It's not until you go to check out, that you figure out they want $150-ish for shipping (went from a $450 chair to a $650 chair). Still very nice! If not for this I would have given a 5 star review.

Dissatisfied with online purchase

Had the chair for approx 5 days when I leaned over the arm rest with my elbow and heard a crack. My elbow pressed against what appears to be a weak and thin material in the rear of the armrest connecting the arrest to the frame the backrest attaches to. My elbow broke what sounded like a board creating an indentation in the leather. I then tried pressing on the other side to obtain similar result. Apparently there must be a weak board connecting the stronger frame boards towards the rear of the armrests. Took the chair back as we thought with time the indentation ls will only become more visible. The display chair at the store had similar issue. Normally I wouldn't be bothered but hated the idea of having indentation holes in the armrests. The chair is somewhat hard and not very comfy.

Armrest issues

The arms have wiid at top that caves in. Will be returning this reckiner for a new one hoping this one was just defective.

Wood under left arm broke.
