For years we were bacon snobs who would buy nothing except Oscar Meyer Thick Cut bacon, even though it was often the most expensive option at the grocery store. Unfortunately it kept getting more and more costly, so we decided to try some other options, even though we were not hopeful. Our surprise was complete when we tasted the Member's Mark Double Smoked Thick Cut Bacon from Sam's Club--not only was it just as good (and maybe even a bit better) in flavor and texture, but it cost just about half what we had been paying for the major brand!

Beats the name brands and costs only half as much!

I bought this as a substitute because what I usually buy was out of stock. My husband LOVES it...says best bacon ever. So, guess I'll be buying it for now on..... keep hubby happy.

Best bacon

This is the ONLY bacon that I buy for our: bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, bacon and egg sandwiches and all of our meals that use bacon. It's the thickest with the most lean streaks of meat in it. Reminisce of the type of bacon I ate growing up on a farm and raising our own pigs.

Thickest, smokiest, leanest bacon on the market

Members mark double smoked thick cut bacon is one of the best bacon products I have tried. The slices are nice and thick, but still become crispy when cooked. I love that. The bacon has the right amount of fat and is not overly fatty. I love the reusable package. It makes it very easy to use for multiple meals.I also like the price point. This is the best bacon that you can get for the price. I will definitely buy this product again.

Field Agent

We love this bacon. It's so easy to cook on a foil lined baking sheet. Baked @ 375 degrees to  your desired crispness. When baking sheet is cooled, the grease turns white and you just fold it up and throw it in the garbage, then put baking sheet back in storage. It's quicker Quicker and much easier than frying and a much better flavor.

Great Bacon

Usually buy Wright bacon here at SamsClub but since they were out at the time, we grabbed members mark ‘thick cut' as its replacement. It was not as nicely trimmed, as thick cut as and did not cook or taste nearly as good as the Wright brand. Would I buy again? Probably not.

Not as good as the normal bacon we buy at SamsClub

Admittedly, I bought this because it's less expensive than the more popular brand I've been buying for years. It tastes great but the cuts are very inconsistent. About 5-7 pieces out of each package are 1/2 the thickness of the advertised thick cut which means you have to set them aside for other uses, especially if you oven bake your bacon like I do.

Inconsistent Cuts

Have been buying Wright bacon for years. Saw this at a slight cheaper price and thought I'd give it a try. While lean, it does not fry up well. Pig skin on edges is chewy, has a weird smell, albeit seemingly fresh. We didn't eat, returned to store. Back to Wright bacon!

Not impressed

Taste is great, crispy when cooked right, but goes bad fast right after opening and the slices are inconsistent and not all are always thick. Not buying anymore because it goes brown even after sealing in package in comes in or even in other airtight containers we've tried to keep it fresh.

Not Buying Anymore

Very fatty and hard to chew after frying. Appeared to be made from scrap pork!
