Oh boy when I tell you this was a game changer to my beef stew. I had followed a recipe and it said to use tomato paste and it was not the color I wanted and by adding 3 table spoons of this and 2 packets of beef powder gave it a taste to die for. It was my first time making the stew. I will use this again for any gravy that's needed.

Color changer for a Quick Fix on Beef Stew

I use this in all my cooking needs.  I usually mix the base with some water to dissolve good, but I have just mixed it w/o dissolving.  Added to soup, beans.  Has a great taste for just a cup of broth.

Excellent, rich beef taste, not salty

This beef base is a major flavor enhancer. I was thrilled to discover this product. It is far superior in flavor & ease of use to any bouillon I've used in the last 50 years. It's a must have staple in my kitchen. I use it 'with' beef broth in every beef dish. It really amps up the beef flavor when combined with beef broth & sweet onions to slow cook a beef roast, veg. beef soup, stews & beef gravy. It doesn't taste too salty like other bouillon.

Great product

The packaging has changed but it is the same product we have used for years.  We make a stew that serves 300 people and this has a very good flavor and is not too salty like a lot of other brands.

Great flavor, easy to uses for large batches.

Beef base

I've used this for years! It is a great product but has more than doubled in cost over the past couple of years, quickly becoming not worth the extra cost.

Good stuff, too expensive

This product is very salty.  I was hoping it would be comparable to the beef base Tones that Sam's used to carry.  It is not.
