About this item

Prosecco is one of the world’s most popular sparkling wines, and this one shines with the perfect balance of fruity flavor and delicate bubbles. The finest quality grapes were selected to create an expressive wine that’s best enjoyed chilled.

This dry, light-bodied wine opens with an aromatic bouquet of floral and citrus notes. The palate is lively, with apples and a hint of pastry joining citrus fruits. A fine mousse is balanced by bright acidity, carrying into a wonderfully refreshing finish. Serving in a flute glass will really bring out this Prosecco’s perfumes and flavors.

Origin

Not just any Italian sparkler can be labeled Prosecco, as it must be produced in designated appellations in Northeast Italy. Winemaking has existed for centuries in this region, which is home to lush rolling hills and fertile soils. Glera, an indigenous white grape variety, was harvested to create our Member's Mark Prosecco.

Serving Tips

White, Rosé, and sparkling wines should be served between 40–55° F to lift the aromas and highlight the acidity that makes these styles crisp and refreshing. The lighter the body and the fruitier the wine, the colder it can be within that range, while fuller-bodied wines (such as oaked Chardonnay) taste better warmer. Chill the bottle in a standard refrigerator and remove it about 20 minutes before serving.

Food Pairing

Our Member’s Mark Asolo Prosecco is easy-drinking and quite food-friendly. It makes for a superb pre-dinner drink and pairs well with a charcuterie board of antipasto, cured meats, and mild cheeses as a starter. The wine’s delicate freshness will also complement linguine with seafood, oysters, vegetables and salads, sushi, and spicy Asian dishes.

Mimosa Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Sparkling Wine (first chilled in the fridge)
  • Orange Juice

Glassware:

  • Mimosas are traditionally served in champagne flutes

Instructions:

Start with one part sparkling wine and one part juice. Put your own delicious twist on it by swapping in a different juice (like grapefruit or pomegranate) or adding a splash of flavored liqueur. You can get creative with garnishes, too, by topping with fresh fruit or even flowers and herb sprigs.
