The negative reviews of this item run opposite my experience. This is the second time I'v purchased these shears. I split the first pair with my daughter and we both have used them daily for years. This is a High Value tool that does what I require of it. Perhaps our habit of hand washing them contributes to their longevity.

Exceptional Value, Use daily

The price is what got my attention at first . When I got them home and unpacked I realized they came apart for superior cleaning. They felt a little different at first but they do a great job on many different levels. I use them for food prep as well as opening packages.

Good performance

These kitchen shears are good enough for almost any task. They make short work of vegetables, do a credible job of cutting meats, and are just generally handy for food prep.

These are not meant to be confused with high end chef shears, but I can buy a dozen of these for a lower price and have them in my kitchen in under a week. For most tasks, there is no material difference.

Good quality kitchen shears

Well made scissors at a bargain price. Two pairs for nearly the price of one at all places that I searched before finding this set at Sam's club!

8" chef scissors

Very economical and they work! We have been using Henkel's for few years but they are really expensive and these are excellent alternative. Thank you Sam's for selling good product.

Excellent kitchen shears!

I really like these shears a lot.  They can be taken apart for cleaning so theres no worry about rusting where they connect.  I havent used them to cut meat yet but i have cut plastic bottles and they do a very nice job.

Worth it

They snap off if you are not carefeul into 2 pieces. you can put them back on yes, but it's irritable to have to do that if you don't get a good grip on it

not fully reliable

These handles are not ergonomic. I have fairly small hands and can barely fit 3 fingers in the holes. This reduces their usefulness and comfort. They actually cut decently or would have gotten a lower rating.

Not ergonomic handles

I like the handling of these. There's a negative though . If you open too wide it splits into two pieces. Don't know if I got a defective one. Feel like it needs an additional cap to prevent it from coming out and keep it place. Kept it cause I really need it. I just don't open it too wide. If you have big hands this is a negative. Again, maybe mine is a defective one.

Shears

These shears miss the mark.  The handholds are so wide when stored they won't fit laying flat in standard drawer organizers, and turned on their side are too tall and jam the drawer.  Also, the two arms of the shears separate, which is great for cleaning, but the little post that holds them together is too shallow and they fall apart while using them.
