I've never been unsatisfied with LG and almost everything that they come out with that I look at has great reviews.  So some time ago I decided to always choose LG whenever it's possible.  Even though we're struggling financially I still decided to get this microwave.  And so far it's pretty awesome.  It certainly looks good, that's for sure.  Every single person that sees it goes, "Hey, that's a nice microwave!"  

The app integration is pretty neat too, and it was easy to hook the microwave up to my Wi-Fi.  I haven't tried to do the thing where you scan the barcode on the food packaging yet, but I am looking forward to it.  

Probably my favorite thing though, is not having to listen to those generic tones that my particular microwaves have made for my entire life.  You know, the tones for when something is finished cooking?  And for like, when the over the stove light is turned on and off?  When something's done cooking it actually plays a fun little jingle, lol.  

The only thing I would have like to have seen done differently would be the over the stove light.  It does put out enough light for my liking, but considering how good the microwave looks the light just looks tacky when you duck down and look at it through the glass covering.  Aside from that, the one bulb in it is not a screw in bulb, it's a halogen bulb.  And from the factory, it's a 40 watt bulb I believe, and it puts off a lot of heat.  I would just think that in out current time and LED light that draws like 4 watts would be standard.  Because now, the over the stove light on my microwave is the only light in my house that is NOT LED, and it sucks as much power as ten of my other light bulbs combined.  Normally I wouldn't give this much thought, but it's your own fault LG!  Y'all set such a high standard that I'm surprised is all, lol.  And it's not that big of a deal.  If myself or anyone else really wants a LED light under there instead, it would only cost a few bucks and it's not that hard to change.  

Here's a tip though, for changing the over the stove bulb.  Probably the hardest part is holding the glass covering up while trying to get the really short screw started in the hole, right?  What I eventually did was take a few pieces of masking tape and put them across the glass covering piece to hold it up temporarily.  Then, it was quite easy to start the screw and screw it in.

Best Microwave I've Ever Had!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this microwave for a couple of weeks, and I love it! It looks so sleek and modern without the handle. It's easy to use. I really like the feature of just tapping the 1 for 1 minute, 2 for 2 minutes etc.

Sleek looking!

So far so good. This microwave is one stylish edition to our home. It has a beautiful look, great lighting, adequate ventilation and boasts a very user friendly interface. I'm a DIY guy and found it very easy to install. We love the two cubic feet interior as it allows us to fit an entire large pizza box inside if needed. The outside being all glass is also very easy to clean. Our family loves this new microwave and our daughter especially loves all the little chimes it makes when the timer is done or when the items inside are ready.

I've owned LG appliances for the past 10 to 15 years including a Refrigerator, Stove, Washer and Dryer. What a Great Addition to our Kitchen. It was a little work venting through through  Brick, but certainly worth it. The 400 CFM fan clears out smoke and heat from the stovetop or oven when used.
I will certainly recommend this Microwave to all friends and Family, as I have done with the other LG appliances I own.

Great Addition!

My food won't get over cooked and there are suggestions on what to time it at on the inside edge. It's a very sleek design and The outside door goes all the way to the edge of the microwave.

Nice Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased in May of 2023.  Installed late June due to scheduling delays, install contractor was good.  Not in use most of July due to being out of town.  Worked great for August, then failed in September for unknown reason.  At this time, we have been without the ability to use for 2 weeks.  Parts shipped out to house, but repair technician did not show on scheduled repair date.  Now waiting for week 3 without ability to use - will see once repair is done.

Works well when functional

My previous hood provided exceptional light for my cooking space but even on high, the light is very dim. LG should consider using a brighter bulb.
