[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After much searching, we decided on this counter-depth fridge for it's stylish look and the amount of room it had.  So far we really enjoy it.  After having a french-door style fridge, we decided to go back to a side by side.  I like that the in-door ice maker is on the freezer side, which will hopefully eliminate some of the issues that french-door refrigerators have with in-door ice.  We like having freezer space at eye-level too.  Our freezer contents are much easier to organize and easily accessible.  The fridge has a lot of room too, especially for a counter-depth.  I'm also impressed with the door cooling vents that keep door contents just as cool as the rest of the fridge.  We opted for the platinum silver color, which matched our other stainless appliances.

Stylish with a lot of room

I bought this a month ago it is a very nice product. clean and quiet. ice maker works very well compared to the old Frigidaire that I had , it is just a head and shoulders product above everything else. I would also like stove exhaust fan and dishwasher to go with it . May be a matching group would really be nice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our refrigerator of 17 years just broke. And I mean the entire door fell off and there was no way of putting it back. The pieces holding it fell apart. So, quickly we needed to find something. We had heard wonderful reviews about LG so that was our first to look at. We loved that the one that was showcased in the store had a counter depth option because we have very limited space in our kitchen and very tight space to move the old one out and new one in its place. We have  had this new refrigerator for a few weeks now and we love it! I love that it doesn't have handles, its sleek look, that there is no water tray in the water filter on the front (as ours always got calcium build up) and love the inside spaciousness with the water filter in the refrigerator side. Ours was on the very bottom, outside and not convenient. We also like how the ice dispenser in on the door and doesn't take shelf space away like our other one did. So needless to say we are very HAPPY so far!

Great features and Sleek design

Always had the filtered water inside, but love it outside. It is counter depth and looks beautiful in my small kitchen. The side by side is great. I am 84years old and just  finished remodeling my home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator because Consumer Reports rated it high esp on noise.  I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of room in this counter depth refrigerator.  It’s all I wanted and more. Esp it’s quiet!  I love it. 
My disappointment was with the delivery company LG chose.  One the delivery date they did not show up despite me checking twice with the people who made the appointment.  They assured me the guys would give me a 30 minute courtesy call.  They neither called or showed up. The eventually did deliver it but they did not call.  They just shows up. Enough about that but while the fridge is great, LG whey’s low marks in the delivery company they chose.

The only item we ran into was the push bottom on inside of the door area to activate water filter monitoring after a filter change. You need to press "firmly" on the button. The instruction booklet does not mention to push firmly. Service tech cleared that " misunderstanding up within a minute.
We like the no hand doors on this model as we have a middle island and it gives a slightly larger area between them as well as a cleaner look.

purchased several months ago.  find the recessed handles awkward to use.  the ice maker makes too little ice.  just two of us and both elderly.  when relative comes to eat with us, usually run out of ice before meal over.  ice cubes are small and appear almost crushed. ice maker stops making ice when ice container is approximately 60 percent full.  recently on three occasions ice discharge has failed to turn off and has completely emptied the ice container.

After 2 months, the refrigerator completely shut off. No power whatsoever. LG put me in touch with a technician and while the technician was quick to respond, LG wasn't at all regrading my food reimbursement.  I'd receive random texts saying they were on it but then no one would respond when I tried to follow up.  Still no word.......
