This is a typical ICON set. Instruction book is clear, but much is left for the experienced builder to study the graphics and make the correct block snap to the correct spot. Also, the tires with the Goodyear logo and the correct sizes front versus rear make a big difference and a bigger impression.

LEGO

There's some improvements here as compared to the McLaren MP4/4 F1 car. Primarily, the tires are better looking.

Still, I'll be modding mine with aftermarket wheels, tires, and decals if they become available.

But as is, this is a cool set for those that are F1 fans.

Great little set

A lot of cool little details in this build. Same style kit as the Senna McLaren but a completely different build to get it together.

Solid kit

I thought this build was enjoyable, while not the most complex build, it is still fun. The build itself is very nice to look at. Very enjoyable!!

Fun Build!

Another legendary F1 car. I really enjoyed the building process and the final result looked beautiful. The wider rear tires definitely elevated the final look

Super fun build.

Good detail…the wheels are better than on the Senna set, but the experience was just as good.  Must have for any Mansell fan

Great set

At a very relaxed pace, this build took me 7 hours and 35 minutes. It could have been half that if you're into plowing straight through as fast as you can. As with the Ayrton Senna marlboro car, it's not incredibly parts dense. It is, however, an very nice display piece. Fairly accurate to the real thing, especially the exterior, and the colors really pop. As far as play, I don't do that but it could be played with being a pretty sturdy build. Really, the only niggle with it is the price. These are priced at least $20 too high due to density of parts. The engine area is only a suggestion of what it looked like and there is no transmission of any kind. Overall, while being priced a bit high with a short to medium build time, it was a joy to build and now display. Would recommend to a friend especially if you can catch it on sale.

Good Build

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I really like about these Legos is the packaging because it has the number on the different parts to make it easier to put together. I also like how precise it is. I also like that this is fun for the family to work on together. I like the hard plastic parts so it's not easy to break. The kids really like this product and I will be recommending this product to all my friends with children.

Unfortunately, it was made by LEGO. The build experience was boring, and whoever designed it might want to reconsider their career path. But hey, if you love overpriced sets and an excessive amount of stickers, this one's perfect for you!
