I love the art Lego sets, they are my favorite. This one blew them all away though with all the fun and new pieces at every corner, I never knew what to expect when I was putting it together!

Best Build Yet

LEGO

I bought this for myself as an early birthday present, when Lego had their insiders pricing. I'd had my eye on it for a while, and couldn't pass up 20% off. But even at the regular price this piece is worth it's value. This was just plain fun to put together. All of the different colors and pcs that were used. It was interesting to see it all come together. I just need to figure out the best way to hang it in my living room. :)

Stunning and Fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] High quality, as expected from Lego.  I love that it is pre-separated into 5 segments so our family of 5 can create separately and collaboratively, and it is a set where if a child happens to get a piece out of place or accidentally skip a step, it doesn't really matter.  Lots of fun surprises in the small pieces.

You definitely have to have patience and pay attention putting this build together, but it's so fun to see how Lego used existing pieces to create color, texture, and contrast -- really bringing the milky way to life in a fun way.

Intense, intricate build

I had the intentions of building this for myself but why not share the fun with your closest friends! This was a prefect set for a Friday night with friends! We each got a panel to work on and it was a fantastic build! 10/10 recommended! Keep making group build sets!!

Great build for groups!

The Milky Way set was so much fun to build and so different from my normal LEGO purchase. The tiny pieces were a bit hard on the fingers after a while but definitely not a deterrent!

Loved this set

Bought this for my girlfriend as she's been wanting it for a while. She put the whole set together in a day basically. Finished product is beautiful and eye catching beyond belief. Was super easy to follow along on the Lego builder app as well.

Awesome set

This set was exactly what I had been wanting! It had a lot of pieces and took awhile for me to complete but I prefer that over finishing one in like an hour. I really love the use of so many different pieces! The piece the "You are here" points to is glow in the dark! That was a surprise. I also found an alien piece they snuck in which was so cute! They also used random pieces like hairbrushes, forks, cherries, and whisks. I love all the different pieces adding such dimension to the set. They also made sure to give you plenty of extra of the smaller pieces that might be easily lost.

Fun art piece!

Straight forward build, took about 3 hours total.
A lot of flat 1 x...bricks , so direction placement attention critical or you'll be frustrated with having to pry apart to readjust
Color scheme in instruction booklet a bit of value so the dark and purples were hard to distinguish.

Quickly put to bed

Overall look is good. When i buy LEGO i want to enjoy the building experience. This set has a bad building experience and just stacking the pieces on the plates. Comparing this vs the starry night lego, there is a huge building difference

Good looking but poor building experience

I didn't pay (close) enough attention to the specs/ dimensions of this item.  I incorrectly assumed it was going to be similarly sized as Lego World Map (#31203) at 26”x41”.  It is NOT.  It is much smaller.  Very disappointing discovery.  Please check the size before ordering the Galaxy which is smaller than the retired World Map (makes sense, right?  NO!)  #FAIL
