Koru apples can sit out on your counter and maintain a crisp texture for 1 to 2 weeks. They have a thick skin that resists bruising and a firm flesh that maintains the apple's crispness. If you want to keep your apples even longer, try placing them in the fruit crisper drawer in your refrigerator and laying a damp paper towel over the fruit. Using this method, your Koru apples can last for several months time. Avoid storing apples with potatoes or ripe bananas as the harmless gas these fruits produce will spoil apples. In addition, avoid storing apples with strong smelling food as apples can take on the odor of these other foods.
