This is my second purchase. I moved my first one to a different location in the house. I love having to come home to a clean house and not listen to my husband that there is so much dog hair on the floor.

One less thing to worry about

This is our second iRobot (first was an s9+). This is considerably quieter while vacuuming -- we briefly wondered if the vacuum part was broken when it went on its first cleaning run, but it quickly became clear that it was indeed cleaning. This model is also smarter than the s9 about navigating around furniture, avoiding dangling cords and shoelaces, etc. We've still had to rescue it a couple times when it got caught in some furniture (it loves to get trapped in the chair and table legs of the dining room set) but it recovers well after we give it a hand. Solid purchase.

Surprisingly quiet and smart

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have two dogs who shed an enormous amount. The iRobot is able to maneuver around every nook to capture all the hair. It goes back to its station, dumps the debris, and continues on. The map scanner is 100% on target. It frees up time and increases content.

I upgraded to the J9 self emptying vacuum from a much older model. I LOVE this one so much and am so happy with my purchase. I love being able to choose a room or rooms to vacuum and what order I want to vacuuming them in. I also love that it self empties! We have 2 cats and a dog and it is doing a great job with the hair.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!

I replaced a 880 roomba with the J9+ vacumn and the difference is great! I like that it maps the whole house and then I can tell it to clean a room and it takes off and cleans that room then goes back to dock itself and emptys itself .

My new freind

We have a small/medium sized dog, so schedule it to come clean 4 times per week. It's been pretty intuitive to set up, operate and easy to maintain thus far. We've had it for about 4 weeks now and haven't had any issues to speak of.

I would buy this again...

Has problems with cat hair on floor pad/carpet. And does not return to auto empty when full, just stops and wants physical removal of content. Previous unit does much better.

No sure!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product WILL BE awesome. It was somewhat time-consuming to program, but as far as vacuuming goes, it's wonderful. Unfortunately, we're having problems with the dumping action. The company is replacing that part. We have friends with this product and they haven't had this problem. It WILL BE great.

Vacuum great, self-dump not so far

does not pick up as well as excepted.  Had a cheaper brand for 4 yrs and it sucked up the dirt and dog hair much better.  Also, the program for the floor plan isn't that great

Could be better

The robot cleans, well, but a large percentage of time it fails to finish cleaning. I think when it is low on power it doesn't always return to the homebase and seems to get confused. Sometimes it actually cleans the room. There wasn't designated in other time just stops. Maybe it will get better

Good, but some issues

It is brand new and keeps saying error code 6 which is drop off detection. No matter how I troubleshoot, it won't work.
