I bought one of these because it was recommended by my cousin. It is a little loud as it seals but that doesn't last long. I've had it about 6 months  and  It seems to be  a good little machine. I recently bought one for my daughter-in-law.  She started using it immediately for items she had just purchased. Her statement was: "I love this thing".  I don't think you will be disappointed in buying it. Food stays much longer in the freezer without freezer burn.

I Love this thing...

I have been considering buying a Food Saver for quite a while but I wasn't sure it would be worth the money. It's easy to use for the vacuum and seal part but trying to evenly cut the plastic material from the roll that came with it was next to impossible and very time consuming. I found rolls of material online that were in a box with a slide cutter. This isn't the name brand but the material seems to be just as good. If I had to cut the Food Saver bags off the roll every time I would probably throw the whole thing in the trash. Luckily I found the bag material with a cutter. The actual vacuum sealer machine works great so far. Do yourself favor and find rolls of bag material online with a cutter on the box. Then the whole process is much more streamlined.

Good Machine Frustrating Bag Cutting.

I love Food Saver Products. Ive had a Food Saver for over 10 years and it stopped sealing. There was no question which sealing system I should get but Idid research the all. Food Saver was my choice again and I loved all the new features and bonuses that came with it.  I prepare my meats and freeze. I use a marker to indicate the date it was in the freezer. I even bought a Food Saver for my son and daughter-in-law and they love it.

We bought this on sale as our original food saver is starting to go out. The original was a wedding present and still going kinda strong, but has its moments. I tried out the new one to be sure it works and it's a little easier to handle and a bit more quiet. I liked using it and packaging my meats was really quick and easy. I haven't used the piece for the bags yet, but it will just be a bonus if I decide to try it out. I will always recommend food saver!

Newer model, newer fun!

No response from FoodSaver for missing foot pad on hand held sealer. Contacted FoodSaver directly but still have not received a response. Inquiry was submitted with product registration after purchase.

Missing part

It works as it should . Great that it came with all the bags , but the hand held unit only works on the certain bags . It has no cutter which I was surprised because most have that even off brands come with a cutter . It's very loud but my friends tell me that's normal . Good for quick and basic needs

Food sealer

Have owned a food saver for 10 years and always loved.  Wanted to replace old with a new product because I loved it. I used new one twice and now pulled old one out. Terrible product. No suction. Very disappointed

Terrible product

Maybe I got a bad unit? We were able to seal 2 bags and that was it. Took “gaskets” out and flipped them over and that gave us the 2nd vac, but none after that. Very disappointed. For something that should suck, it did not. Debating on trying again, the foam gaskets seem cheap and useless to me.

It was supposed to suck, in a good way.

Getting ready to return it if it operates the same with the next use. It does not remove the air the first try. It then seals or simply cuts the bag.

Not happy

I'm returning it as it's very poor quality.  The lights behind control buttons barely light enough to read what controls say.   Probably why was offered on sale
