My #1 reason for purchasing this TV is the fact that it was assembled in the USA by a company headquartered in the USA.  I want to support American companies and American workers whenever possible.  I applaud Element Electronics for doing something that no other company is doing - assembling TV's in the USA.

I debated between purchasing this 50" TV or one for $100 more.  I decided to ignore bad reviews & save money.  I am so glad I made this decision, I works perfectly!  The only issue I have is the local channels menu loads slow at times.  The built in Roku is wonderful & when I do want to watch locals I do not have to select antenna input on my TV it's automatically an icon on my screen. You can download the Roku app & use your phone for your remote if you want.  I have had this tv for about 2 months & would purchase again.

Great sound quality, so loud that I have to keep it below 10 or the neighbors complain. The picture is crisp and the colors are vibrant, exactly what a gamer like myself needed. The 55 Inches are what really sells it, feels like I'm at the movies mounted on my wall. Worth it!

Better than I expected. Picture and sound are good and I got it at a great price so I took a chance and it worked well. Glad I did.

Surprisingly good

I'm love the fact that I can put apps on it that I already have on my fire stick and the picture is wonderful and looks excellent,it's very easy to use.

Best perches I made this fare

Good picture, user friendly and easy to setup and get started. I'm having trouble getting it to pick up blue tooth signal for my sound bar though my phone can see the sound bar right away.

Decent tv, good for the price

Picture quality out of the box is poor but can be greatly improved through manual adjustment. I'm actually very happy with the picture after spending a lot of time in the display options. Sound quality is horrible. Speakers sound like they're playing inside a tunnel. There are few sound options to adjust -- you're simply going to need a sound bar with this TV. The TV has a generous 4 HDMI ports that are easily accessible. But the audio ports are mounted vertically and are almost impossible to reach. The good news is that once you buy a sound bar and adjust the picture, this is a decent enough TV, but it's hard to recommend a TV that's a bit of a project.

Good budget TV, not great

After I bought it, TV would not respond to remote but I was able to initilaize it and use it with the Roku app on my iphone. I submitted a claim and so far, slowly, they are working, they tell me, to replace the remote. Its been a week and has not been shipped yet. The TV image is short of outstanding but does need a sound bar or better, but that is logical with so little room for speakers. There is no menu for adjustments to colors, brightness, contrast etc. or bass and trebble for the sound but again, it looks good so far. I chose it for the Roku feature but that is also the only remote control (very basic navigation) If my remote arrives and works, I would say it was a good investment for the price. Customer service is not bad at all.

Few surprises but so far, so good,

Wasn't expecting for pixelation issue. Only getting per price not taxes included is quite selfish of Element. Don't even have substitute and if you did it would of been a refurbished 1. Im not impress at all. I will be sending this review to multiple sites.

Pixelation issue

I returned this tv 2 days after purchasing it. It caught fire in my living room. We heard a loud pop then smoke and fire started coming from the back of the tv. While it was off and on a surge protector. Thank goodness we were home at the time.
