I like to keep a big can of these on hand for when I have company - lot easier than opening multiple cans.  Plus if I have left overs, I can refrigerate them and use them for several days since they are good with everything.  Sometimes I use them to make up different recipes to freeze - soups, casserole, whatever.  I must admit, at time set some aside before cooking, rinse them and share them with my canine companion so we both have a low fat tasty addition to our meals.

Del Monte always has the best green beans. I purchased one 6 lb can, opened it and placed one cup portions in zip loc bags and refrigerated them.

To cook them, I chop up a bit of bacon and add a bit of oleo to the skillet and when the bacon is done, I toss in my drained green beans and cook them until they start to brown.

There are times I also add some onions and mushroom soup to the green beans and bacon.

These are great beans and the size is just right for a family meal.
I cook them with bacon and I cut up fresh white potatoes and lay on top of them as they cook, so they get steamed…great with stuffed pork chops!  Lol

BEANS, BEANS, BEANS!

It is cheaper per pound to get green beans this way. I use them all in time but if you wanted to freeze 1/2 for later, you could. Good quality and all product, not full of liquid. I have ordered twice before and will continue. With so much that can be done with green beans, it's the way to go. If I had to come up with a down side, it would only be that my counter top electric can opener can't manage the job and I have to get in there manually on that huge can. But if you know a better way to open it then you are home free. Enjoy!

These were great for our Mother's Day dinner. Added a little Member's Mark bacon and butter, along with some slivers of onion, and they were a hit.

Price increase since the last month I bought them. Several hard vine pieces in the can that has increased over the last year. The taste of the beans is good for canned.

Nearly every can (6) was damaged.  It almost looks like they save all the damage cans for shipment to customers.  One can was so damaged that when I went to open it, it was under so much pressure from being dented that the juice flew up out of the can when I started opening it.
