Dash Safe Slice Mandoline, Choose Color

I previously owned a mandoline which was the kind where you used the holder to slide the food item you were slicing, and you'd slide the food back and forth over the blade. I loved being able to slice perfectly even slices so quickly. But I only ever did one thing with it, slices, because you had to change blades, and it was just too complicated. It worked for what I needed to do. But last fall, I was going too fast and not using the guard, and I sliced off part of my little finger. I used it a couple of times after that, but then I saw this Dash Safe Slice Mandoline, and I had to have it. It's truly awesome! My fingers don't get near the blades, and I can change the way I cut my food with a turn of the dial and/or rotating the knobs. I've never in my life made homemade french fries, and now I've done it with my Dash Safe Slice Mandoline so easily and so fast! It has a bit of a learning curve on how to get the food cut the way you want it, but it can slice, julienne, dice, etc., and it's one of the biggest helps in the kitchen I have ever had. I love mine, and I highly recommend it!
