I was skeptical about ordering a cake from Sam's because I never had one before and didn't know anyone who did.  I ordered one for a small retirement party. It looked phenomenal. The cake was very moist and the whipped cream icing was fabulous. Everyone loved the cake. Great choice and only $17.28. Definitely will order in the future.

Worked out perfectly, I bought two 10-in cakes and placed one chocolate one vanilla on top of each other and used the whipped cream not buttercream so I was able to spread the whipped cream to look like one layer. Added edible flowers for a baby in bloom baby shower cake.

The simple single layer white round cake at Sam's Club is the BOMB!  Not only does it taste very good and serves more than you would think, but it's also an excellent blank base to decorate for ANY occasion.  The frosting is delicious.  Highly Recommend.

The cake cracked across the middle and through, too late to take it back. Sprinkles around the sides are new and unwanted. Ordering on line was convienient but the product was not as good as usual. Sams provided an electronic $5.00 gift card for compensation, which was an insult.

Cracked Birthday Cake

Taste of the cake always 100%. The writing on the cake horrible the last three cakes that I've  purchased, the. handwriting looked like a 1st grader wrote it.

Disney stitch instead they put the item number. You can only order thru their website (shop by design) but there's no place to put the serial number to customize it. So I ask one of the lady was decorating a cake and she told me to put the serial numbers after happy birthday …… I asked her; are you sure because I don't want the item number on the cake because I have seen crazy stuff done to cakes by putting the entire phrase or not putting the image and just put the number. She said don't worry just put it there and will put the design on the cake. Well I went to pick up the cake the day before the party and what I received was the entire phrase as you can see on the picture. I can't lie to you! There's a lady that took care of us because the bakery worker weren't there, she couldn't find my order, was getting annoyed and started saying that I didn't ordered anything and I show my order number but she said that they don't go by order # so only by name. Well finally the cake was found, was right in front of her but without the design. She started to blame me that I should have written the item number on the notes sections which I went back to their website and see where is the note section which there is none and that is why I asked the lady from the bakery where to put the item #. Then she disappeared and a nice gentleman came and started to help and made me write everything in paper so he can give it to the decorator the following day !

Stitch Cake

I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter. We were to have some friends over to share her special day with her. Many of the guests were older folks so I ordered a white cake with chocolate frosting. The decorations were just simple flowers piped from the same icing. I didn't want any sprinkles because I know some of them can be very hard and can cause pain, especially for the ones with dentures or a lot of dental issues. Well, the cake looked beautiful, exactly as I had ordered. My daughter was surprised by the guests that arrived and by the cake. She loves Sam's Club cakes. I began cutting the cake and was putting it on plates when I noticed the first bit of pink color….the cake was frosted in blue and yellow. Then I noticed a little round white sprinkle that fell off the bottom side of the next piece. I just thought that maybe a few sprinkles had gotten on there from another cake they may have decorated prior to this one so I just kept on serving until everyone had a piece. My mom was the first one to bit down on something hard and grabbed her mouth. She proceeded to politely spit out a very large white ball…a very hard sprinkle of some sort. Then slowly everyone started having the same reaction. I turned my piece over and didn't have to even look hard to see that the cake had been frosted twice, right over a thick layer of sprinkles! The cake was covered in them. It appeared that they apparently made a mistake and covered the cake with sprinkles and then instead of starting over, just put another layer of chocolate frosting right over the mistake. No one ate very much of the cake, most of them threw it away. I was so embarrassed and was so upset for my daughter. Needless to say that the cake went in the trash as soon as the last guest left.
I have bought cakes from Sam's Club since it opened and have never had anything like this happen before. They have always been so delicious and moist. I can say that I have always ordered them by phone before this time but after calling the store they wouldn't take my order and told me that I had to order online now. I'm not real sure that I like that. I did go back to make sure that it wasn't my mistake and it wasn't. I may not order another cake from them again. I'll have to give that some thought.

What an embarrassment!

First going online to order and having to pay is the worst! I enjoyed talking to someone regarding my bakery needs! Way to take customer service out of it! Although Clarksville lacks customer service anyway. However the quality of cake has gone so far down hill I am looking at making my own cakes again! I was embarrassed to serve this cake! I wanted to add a picture but it is. It letting me.

Was my favorite place to purchase an occasion cake but new on-line ordering form is inaccurate and confusing.  It also does not allow as many style choices or requests for unique designs as before. The bakery no longer has standby cakes for last minute needs.

I'm very disappointed with the cake I ordered. The cake is very uneven. The border is half on the too and dips to the side. There was also blue icing smudged on the side and a big finger mark in the side icing.
