I want to preface this review that this machine was made and intended for 4 specific uses: 1) K-cup pods for single cup coffee, 2) Nespresso Pod original line capsule espresso shots, 3) steam/hot water wand, and 4) brewed coffee up to 12 cups. This machine saves one from buying a Keurig and Nespresso machine with added functional components, which makes coffee drinking a much more enjoyable experience. Before I go further, there are quite a few negative reviews if you do a google search on this machine that can be solved by READING THE MANUAL. The control panel is easy to use and I had no problems with it. This is coming from a student still-in school who is generally avoids reading things when I don't have to. The manual is intuitive, easy-to-follow, and saves a headache instead of trying to mess with buttons without knowing the function. 

Quick review: This machine is excellent and serves its purpose well given the cost. Would recommend purchasing. 

Long review: Here are my few thoughts regarding each of the components below: 1) + 2) K-cup and Nespresso functions: You can make a 6, 8, and 10 oz single serve coffee and a small/large espresso on the right side of the machine. the BOTTOM HALF of the control panel controls this side of the machine (including the steam wand). The water reservoir is in the back of the machine and feeds the pods and steam wand, its large and I have had no problems with leakage. It sits tight and comfortably and slides in easily. Although some may say its "held by gravity," the slide-in design secures the reservoir in place. The brew side (left) has a separate water reservoir. The K-cup pods have a slot in the back, with Nespresso in front. The Nespresso pods have a pull out attachment piece to which you have to push the pod in all the way flush with the edge before putting the pod (in the attachment piece) back in. Otherwise, I have had no issues making single serve coffee and espresso shots. 3) Steam wand/hot water: The machine sits high enough and the wand is flexible contrary to some reviews. I use a milk frothing steel cup which easily fits under the steam wand and can make steamed and frothed milk. If you want to fit a tall cup like a hydroflask, then it obviously will not fit. My only note when frothing milk is to make sure the wand is completely submerged in the milk (close to rubber holder) to prevent additional air from being sucked once a good initial foam is established. This allows the milk to texture well. I would also run the steam by itself to CLEAR the wand of any residual water. It also will take ~15-20 seconds for the want to heat up and start, but is shorter in heating for multiple immediate repeated uses. The wand also disperses hot water. Although the water is hot, my only gripe is I wish it came out at a slightly higher temperature for the purpose of making tea. 4) Brewed coffee: This is the LEFT side of the machine which is controlled by the TOP HALF control panel. The water reservoir is directly behind the filter and you can poor the amount of water you want brewed. The brew uses pre-grounded coffee and comes with a filter, but I use a #4 filter you can buy at any grocery store. When starting the brew, the machine will brew all the water that is in the reservoir. For example, if you want to make 4 cups of coffee, pour 4 cups of water in the machine prior to use. You can also make the coffee with the "bold" setting which I typically uses. The brewer is efficient and usually takes ~5 minutes to brew a 4-cup pot. Once the brew is finished, it will beep, and the "WARM" light will appear which will keep the coffee pot warm and will turn off automatically after 4 hours. If you want to turn off the "WARM" function sooner, simply rotate the knob to "auto-on" or "auto-off" and immediately rotate back to "brew". I have had no problems with this side of the machine. 

Overall: This machine is great for functionality and price point. It has a wide array of functions and is easy to use. If you want to make quick coffee drinks, get this machine. I may look to buying a dedicated espresso machine some point in the future to experiment with coffee making. May look to buying a coffee grinder in the future.

Great all-in-one machine, gets the job done

Is everything you need in a coffee pot and barista station but there's a couple of things that they need to be changed one the coffee pot you can't turn off when the coffee is done. It goes in warm mode and if there's no coffee left in the pot it's still heating up the craft, which is eventually crack Also, when you pull it out to add water to the Keurig portion, it always leaks all over the counter two things that they need to straighten out

Good multipurpose coffee maker, can only use small Nespresso pods, would like to be able to use larger Nespresso pods that make a larger drink.  Sometimes the Kcup pod only dispenses water, no coffee.  Overall its a good multipurpose coffee maker for a household with different requirements.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Convenient & easy to use. Many great features. The only suggestion is to make the espresso ledge sturdier so that it can also hold a coffee mug. This would help to avoid splashing when brewing with the pod feature.

Great coffee maker!

Good product.  Thankful that I read previous reviews about K-Cup issues.  I push my K-cup down in the slot until it pops before closing the lid. This ensures that the K-Cup does not explode which has been an issue according to reviews.  Unfortunately the single serve coffee does not come out hot, it is just warm.  It really is frustrating when I need to add creamer.  I am going to experiment with running a small espresso cup amount through and see if the next cup is hot.

Good Product, Needs some tweaks.

I got the Cuisinart Barista Bar 4-in-1 Coffeemaker to replace my second Keurig K-Cafe K-Duo Single Serve Coffee, Latte and Cappuccino Maker.  The Keurig only lasted the warranty period (go figure) and since our Cuisinart appliances last much longer and also wanting the ability to brew Nespresso pods, we decided to replace it with the Barista Bar.  

WHAT A TREAT.  

The Barista Bar first of all makes a great pot of coffee with excellent flavor and balance even with the cheaper Folgers and Maxwell brands.  Second, I was surprised at the exceptional flavor from the K-Cups I brewed.  They tasted even better then the K-Cups I brewed from the Keurig coffee maker.  Third, the Nespresso espresso pods make for a wonderful afternoon or after dinner treat.  Even the frothing attachment is better on the Cuisinart compared to the Keurig as the Cuisinart uses actual steam, which leads me to the only small gripe I have with the Barista Bar.  

The frothing/hot water attachment designed to fit into the footprint of the Barista Bar unfortunately makes it hard to first fit a cup under it to begin the frothing process or fill a cup with hot water.  Once the milk/creamer is frothed up or the cup is filled with the hot water, it makes it very difficult to get the cup out from under the frothing/hot water attachment especially since now the cup is filled with foam or hot water.  It's almost as though you would need to have the coffeemaker right next to the sink, which if you can do that is ideal as the drippings of the frothing/hot water attachment would drip into you sink.  Alas, I think they should have put the attachment on the side of the coffeemaker and higher instead of underneath the brewing area.  We added a rolling tray to make it easier to move the coffee maker in and out from under the cabinets, which also raised the frothing/hot water attachment for easier use.

WOW, Coffee & Espresso with exceptional flavor!!

I give this 4 stars only because there is one thing they could do to make this machine perfect - add a grind and brew feature.  Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.  Other than that, I am very much enjoying it.  The water capacity of the single serve is quite adequate and I love that it makes both Keurig and Nespresso pods.  I replaced a Cuisinart SSGB-1 which has grind and brew pot and Keurig single serve.  I had a Nespresso machine next to that.  The grind and brew was quite a mess to clean every time and the water capacity of the single serve was small.  
My new machine lets you choose the size of Keurig and the size of Nespresso.  It also has a milk frother attached which can be used for hot water for making tea.
If Cuisinart ever can figure out how to add a grinder to this machine it will be perfect and I'll be first in line to buy.  If you're looking for testers, Cuisinart, count me in!

Nearly perfect machine!

It's a nice, well-built machine, but there are a couple of annoyances with the ergonomic design, and one mechanical nuisance.

1) The most grievous design flaw is how the lid to the drip coffee reservoir opens (is hinged) on the side nearest the reservoir openings, so if you're filling it using the carafe, the upright lid gets in the way of pouring the water completely from the carafe.

2) The openings for the reservoir are too small, as it's fairly easy to spill water onto the machine and etc because of the aforementioned angle of approach and due to the size of the reservoir openings.

3) The K-cup mechanism (pump? heating element?) is very noisy compared to every other K-cup machine I've used. It rattles my counter, which is made of stone.

A Beautiful Machine with Some Design Flaws

Coffee carafe side worked fine but the expresso side would not function. Lid to the unit would not open when the brew cycle was completed. No expresso was brewed, just a lot of noise. Very disappointing.

Defective Unit

This is my third Barista Bar 4-in-1 coffeemaker as the first two jammed and the brew head would not open. I've also noticed that not all brands of Kcups work with the brewer as several just brew water and overflow into the brew head. The steamer works fine.
