I bought this model for use both with our fifth-wheel trailer, and at home. This is a midsized unit, but is still not too heavy to allow portability. Besides the obvious camping power supply, I use it around the yard for my chainsaw, and other equipment. The Tri-fuel option makes it the perfect choice for flexibility if we lose power at the house.

It is very easy to start and runs great. Ran all day on a tank of gas. Has lots of power and was able to use several piece of equipment at once

Easy to assemble and easy to start.

Purchased for home emergency back up power. Hooked up to BBQ natural gas line and started right up. Tested appliances in the house and everything worked perfectly. No more gasoline!

Good product at a good price

I haven't used the unit yet but picked it for the tri fuel capability.   It is a 4000 watt unit that will use mostly on natural gas to be used to run freezer and refrigerator and some lighting   for emergency power outages. The unit looks good and it is well built and appears to be as advertised.

Champion as advertised.

Lost power in H Francine. Ran this 120V unit on natural gas and fed extension cords. Worked fine. Would prefer watts or amps be included in the panel meter readouts but a "Killawatt" or similar solves that. Shipper was rough unloading so unit came with battery dislodged. I had to lift red battery terminal cover and tighten terminal screw to get electric starter to work. It was finger tight. I hurricane knocks out natural gas I can use gasoline.

Good enough.

Should be a great generator… if I could only get it to start. It's got an electric start but a manual choke. Guess I just haven't figured out the sweet spot yet for it to actually run.

Champion Tri-fuel generator

I purchased a tri fuel generator & did its maintenance correctly & the governor went bad on it, while this isn't covered under their warranty champion has told me my generator has too many hours on it & that not maintaining it correctly voids my warranty. I took it to a shop that champion had directed me to for them to diagnose it, it's as I expected. The governor went bad. Now here's the kicker, the shop didn't open or take apart my generator or anything they did no work to it so how can champion say that the governor being broken is a result of me not maintaining my generator & that it has too many hours on it when nowhere does it say how many hours can it be ran (besides the typical 8-12 hours & shut down for cooling & checking oil etc & maintenance as required by run time) I asked champion on multiple occasions in chats about how long can this generator be used while maintained correctly & was told it can run indefinitely so long as it has a fuel source & maintained. That however isn't true clearly & champion said as a one time courtesy they're willing to give me a replacement engine for the unit but that I would have to pay to get it installed & on top of that because this particular engine isn't in stock that I have to wait 3-4 months or possibly longer for an engine replacement. I have been a faithful customer owning about 4-5 champion generators throughout the years. It's time for me to clearly find another brand because over the years their coverage & CS has gotten worse. & I have yet to hear back from someone at champion about the eta on engine replacement & it's been over a month now. I do NOT recommend this product if you need to use it daily for about 8-12 even with proper maintenance things can potentially go wrong & not be covered at all. It's worth noting that I also have a champion inverter generator that has over 800 hours more ran on it than this broken unit & it's still running like new (only needed to replace the carburetor a few times throughout the years) & adjust valves as needed w/runtime. Safe to say champion lost a customer.
