Additional aging allows the Parmesan-like flavors to subtly marry with the Merlot bringing out very subtle hints of fruit. Dark in color, the wine enhances but does not overwhelm the cheese. The rind is meant to be eaten and is part of the tasting experience. </div>

This Wine Cheese taste way more expensive than it is. It has a high quality, sharp & savory bite to it. The wine flavor is only noticeable to me on the dark purple edge of the block where I'm assuming the wine is. It is on the dryer side so it can crumble if slicing it thinner. Don't let that deter you tho. It's downright delicious! Just try it for yourself.

Downright Delicious!

With hints of Merlot and a medium hard texture, this is my all-time favorite snack cheese!  It's ideal for serving with fresh and dried fruit, crackers, pepperoni, etc.  Sam's Club has the lowest price per ounce so I always buy some when shopping here. If you keep it wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerated, it has a long shelf life.

This cheese has  a delicious flavor and we always eat it as is, rather than use it as an ingredient.  It is a bit pricier than other cheeses we purchase, so we consider it a treat.
