This thing pulls a lot of water out of the air! Noise is tolerable. I don't believe there's such a thing as a quiet dehumidifier so noise is as expected.

Works great!

This unit was easy to set up and runs quietly. I set it up about a week ago and it seems to be doing the job. I have it located in my basement.

Reduced Humidity

Had it about a month. Other reviewers comments have been confirmed:  works well, loud, easy to use, produces heat. Bail handle on condensate bin is very helpful. Bin seems to hold 5 quarts.  Instructions written by too many attorneys say don’t use an extension cord, but the cord on the machine is too short to reach outlets in several areas, so order a 3-probed grounded extension cord too. Mine is 6’ long, and with it and the machine cord, it reaches all needed areas. I’ve been able to get humidity down into the low 40’s%, and without running it 24/7, can generally keep it below 50%. So, much more comfortable. Zoned CACH doesn’t run long enough to sufficiently dehumidify.

Works well.

Solid and dependable. We have a big basement and it keeps it dry I would recommend.

Great unit

This Whirlpool 50pt is starting out just fine, but so have my last four dehumidifiers.  The real test is to see if it keeps dehumidifying beyond the second summer.  (The others have not.  I've concluded that a dehumidifier is one device for which it pays to by the extended warranty offered with it.)  This is probably the quietest model I've had.  I often have to feel the warmth of the air coming out to tell if the compressor is running.  Its hose connection is easy to use.    it was very well packaged, with heavy-duty straps around the box that make it easy to lift and move.  And the top part of the box lifted off a separate bottom piece, so the machine didn't have to be cut out or dumped out.

We use our dehumidifier in the basement. My previous dehumidifier was so noisy that I had to turn it off whenever I worked in the basement because the noise was actually painful. I was surprised that the Whirlpool dehumidifier was so quiet, particularly after reading some reviews that complained of noise. I can barely hear it when I am in the basement and not at all when I am upstairs. Setup is easy but get some help moving it especially if you have to move it up or down stairs. I am pleased with the performance of the Whirlpool dehumidifier. I noticed the improvement in air quality after only a few days of use.

A quite performer

 Great product, never owned a Dehumidifier before, we bought this for our dog that has congestive heart failure and its working perfect to remove the humidity from our leaving room were she sleeps. Its helping her sleep now all night, keeping the air dry. Only problem we had is the company forgot to send the wheels for the unit.  I called them and they shipped them out with in 10 days. It does put off a little heat when running, but I think that's just what they do. I do feel guilty for throwing away all the water. So I use it in the garden. We also took out the extended warranty just to not worry about failure. GOOD Product. Not much money to buy us some more time with our puppy.

Came without casters. Said casters were in the bucket, but they were not there. Other than that, seems to be operating OK. Quieter than the last model I had. But....I just started using it, so this review may be premature.
