Last calculator I had died and needed one asap, checked other brands but Victor has a good reputation from years ago. Ordered it on line as I wasn't going to Sam's for another three weeks. Received it in a few days and am happy that I chose the Victor1240-3A. It works like a charm.
Would recommend it to anyone looking for a good machine.

I can read it!

It is a little larger than I expected from the specs, but overall a great machine.  Numbers highly visible.  Off/on on the left side took getting used to, but very pleased.

I ordered the exact same model from Staples and it was an electronic malfunction nightmare right out of the box. This one has functioned perfectly. The speed scrolling of the paper tape with the amounts entered is rather slow compared to other brands. But the price of this Victor and its sleek look is worth the speed difference.

This model is not for the quicker keypuncher. It often misses entered numbers, particularly the zero. Solid machine though.

I was so excited to replace my much loved adding machine after a good decade of use. I pull this beauty out of the box only to get immediately heartbroken.  I normally have this machine on my desk next to my computer, so the keys are always in reach, but not in front of my keyboard.  Well, you can't see the decimal or bottom of the numbers unless you have it right under your nose.  Who designed this???
