A man named Bert "Tito" Beveridge, a geophysicist who is now in his 50s, obtained the patent for Tito's Handmade Vodka back in 1995. This was the first permit ever provided to distill vodka in Texas and the same technique is still used today to ensure great flavor and smoothness. Tito's vodka is corn-based, so it's completely gluten-free. Nowadays, Tito's Handmade Vodka is bottled and distilled by fifth generation in Austin.

Tito’s Citrus Mule Recipe

Ingredients (1 serving)

• 2 fl. oz. Tito’s Handmade Vodka
• 4 fl. oz. Ginger Beer
• ½ fl. oz. Fresh Lime Juice
• ½ fl. oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
• Ice

Garnish

• Lime Wedge
• Mint Sprig

Instructions

1. Fill a glass (copper mug or highball) with ice
2. Pour in Tito’s Vodka
3. Add fresh lime juice and lemon juice
4. Top with ginger beer
5. Gently stir to combine (don’t overmix to keep fizz)
6. Garnish with a lime wedge and mint sprig
7. Serve immediately and enjoy
