The Macallan Double Cask 12 Year&nbsp;Old Whisky is 100% Sherry seasoned, and 100% naturally colored by the casks, in keeping with The Macallan’s tradition. However, this expression is&nbsp;unique in the fact it is defined by the unmistakable prominence of the American oak style. The Macallan brings new oak from America&nbsp;to Spain, where casks are crafted and sherry seasoned before traveling to our distillery in Speyside, where they are filled and matured for at least 12 years. These whiskies are then harmoniously united with those aged in exceptional sherry-seasoned European oak casks for a unique double cask blend.&nbsp;

This was my husband’s favorite Christmas gift I highly recommend buying it for a whiskey connoisseur.

Macallan Single Malt Scotch Whisky

I would not pay the liquor store price for Macallan, there are better for less.  Dalmore 12 for example.  But Sam's price was $10 cheaper so I decide to give a go.  Its smooth and I like the taste, but Dalmore is a tad better for the same price and there are others much cheaper that are very close in quality.  Sam's should stock Dalmore 12.
