Using some of the rarest of their whiskies, all of which have been aged for at least 25 years, this is a batch-produced whisky finished in ex-sherry butts. As the first licensed distillery in the region of Glenlivet, George Smith established himself as an original thinker and creator of the original Speyside single malt. Since then, they've continued to break conventions in order to push single malt forward. For when only the very best will do. Silky, sweet, rich and intense, this whisky offers pure opulence in liquid form. This exquisite 25 years old expression has been created by selectively finishing this whisky across first-fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry and Tronçais Oak Cognac casks, bringing indulgent richness to the iconic smooth and fruity house style of The Glenlivet. Enticing notes of sweet fig and blood orange deriving from the sherry influence are complemented by the Cognac cask’s warming notes of ginger, toasted oak, and a hint of charred pineapple. It has aromas of chocolate ganache, plum jam and Manuka honey which gives way to fresh lemon zest, toasted cinnamon and orange blossom. With rich amber and golden shades, the finish of this expression is incredibly long, sweet and with gentle spice notes. Pair with creamy camembert and fine, artisanal cheeses.

I got this bottle as a present after graduating from my MBA program. 
Wow what a great Scotch. A very capable dram that delivers when you are in the mood for rich, syrupy sherry without much ethanol l to kick you in the teeth. The Glenlivet 25 Year Old feels like a truly special whisky from the first sip. Have been lucky enough to try this a couple of times.  Outstanding single malt!!  Only drawback is that I cannot afford it.  Crossing fingers for a lottery win so I can have it once again. 

(PS:  Would also be better if you brought the wood box back, especially at its price point. )

Whenever our family gets together for a celebratory event, the-glenlivet-xxv-25-year-old-single-malt and the-glenlivet-single-malt-whisky-scotland-12-yo-750ml-bottle are always stocked! The flavor is so smooth, and everyone loves it. Comes in a great package as well. I highly recommend it!

Glenlevit has always been one of my favorite single malt. I don't always go for the 25 years mainly because it is a little pricey. But I do indulge myself on the 25 years on special occasions or if I have some special guests coming over. It has great cask flavor that a 25 year old single malt absolutely needs.

My dad is quite the whiskey guy. I recently purchased this for him because of his retirement. When I say this stuff takes you to a good,smooth flavor note. I'm not lying. My dad now exclusively drinks this in his reclining retirement chair, he's never been happier.

Had this a couple of times and it’s most definitely one of my favorites when it comes to scotch. I of course love it for special occasions and the price tag is up there but once you have a zip you understand why. A little bit on the sweeter side and a mixture of flavors in a wonderful collaboration as if time has strengthened their bond.

Please tell me I wasnt the only one out there who started sampling more booze during COVID quarantine! My husband picked up this single malt and it was great! It was smooth and had a delicious taste. Plus, I didnt feel drained the next morning! Score!

This is definitely more for my husband, but he's a huge fan. It's good enough to drink on the rocks, but also works well in a coke (for me...I'm not hardcore enough to drink it straight up) It's a good price for what it is! We can make a bottle last quite awhile, so it;s worth it to me.
