<h3>Flavor Profile</h3> <p>Starting with a mash bill of 86% corn and 14% barley, the whisky is then double copper pot distilled using some of the world’s most pristine waters from the Misaka Mountain range in the Mt. Fuji basin, 250 meters below the surface. This is some of the purest water in the world and where the highest grade sake’s source their water. Finally, Tenjaku is aged in heavily seasoned Kentucky bourbon barrels resulting in a rich, full bodied malt flavor, with a grain taste that is toned down but freely allowed to express its individual characteristics. This exquisite balance forms a clean, timeless blend of 3 year, 5 year, and 6 year whisky.</p> <ul>  <li><strong>    <ins>Color:</ins></strong> Clear Amber</li>  <li><strong>    <ins>Nose:</ins></strong> Faint smoky accent, sweet aroma, redolent of pear and dried fruit</li>  <li><strong>    <ins>Palate:</ins></strong> Well-rounded and mellow</li>  <li><strong>    <ins>Finish:</ins></strong> Slightly spicy and long with a hint of white oak and a spreading sweetness</li> </ul> <h3>Food Pairings</h3> <p>The smooth, natural flavor of Tenjaku Whisky allows for considerable versatility when pairing it with food. Whether served on the rocks or mixed into a cocktail, Tenjaku Whisky provides a fresh smoothness that can only be achieved by masterfully blending the highest quality ingredients derived from our natural environment.</p> <p>The true soul of Tenjaku Whisky lies within the natural ingredients utilized to create it; none more so than the spring water used during the distillation process. All the water we use is drawn from 250 meters below the fertile surface of the Misaka Mountain range. It is then filtered through volcanic rock to ensure the velvety-smooth texture and moderate mineral content that enables us to create Tenjaku’s unique balance of smoothness, cleanliness, and flavor.</p> <h3>Blending Technique</h3> <p>Drawing together the individual characteristics of each unprocessed whisky for a harmonious, exquisitely balanced finish – this is the delicate blending technique that is unique to Japan. With countless tasting and smelling sessions, the important processes involved in creating a blend see sophisticated techniques employed by a craftsman who applies his past experience in creating whiskies and extensive knowledge of flavors and aromas cultivated through many years of winemaking.</p> <h3>About Tenjaku</h3> <p>Tenjaku is created in the city of Fuefuki, located in the eastern part of the Kofu Basin in Yamanashi Prefecture. This fertile land encircled by soaring peaks, with the Chichibu mountains rising to the north and the Misaka range to the south, is renowned as Japan’s top peach and grape-producing region. Looking towards Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps, it is a place blessed with boundless nature, with verdant forests, beautiful orchards, hot springs, and crystal clear streams</p> <p>The Japanese characters for the skylark (hibari), the much-loved herald of spring in the East and West, and for this masterfully blended whisky. Like the clear, exquisite song of a small bird, it features an agreeably pure, mellow flavor. Carefully selected unprocessed whiskies and pure, natural spring water are expertly blended to create this distinctive whisky. This was the vision of Tenjaku Master Blender, Kenji Watanabe.</p> <h3>Tenjaku Honshu Punch Recipe</h3> <p><strong>   <ins>Ingredients:</ins></strong></p> <ul>  <li>2 fl. oz.
