Strange seasoning, just plain not cooked enough!!

I tried these pinto beans, I figured that pinto beans are pinto beans, right, how can you go wrong with a slightly more generic brand of pinto beans. The thing is that the front of the can does not say anything about having garlic, so even though this product appears to be an unflavored pinto bean, these beans have not too great of a taste, and garlic in itself could not be completely responsible for the slightly strange taste of these finished Sun Vista canned beans, I like garlic, and these beans just taste strange. I do realize that Sun Vista could simply change the seasoning that is added to these pinto beans, then these beans would taste good, and also that some batches taste better than others.
