I use this on my property to watch critter activity outside my barn. It's easy to move around and also acts as a security camera at my front gate and mailbox. I live in the hills and the cell phone service can be touchy. I have not had a problem as long as the unit is outside of metal structures. For the price and convenience, this is a great unit. You get 60 days of free monitoring on Verizon, or whatever service provide you have. Up to 36mp. I use 8mp and the pictures are clear. I did by an accessory camera mount system as this can only be strapped onto surfaces. The mount I have is made to fit the tripod plug in the bottom of the unit. I can tilt it and move it in any direction I need it.

Excellent camera. I would if Sams sold the solar battery that goes with the camera. It would simplify using it.

Outdoor trail camera

Stealth Cam does not know anything about the free 60 days of wireless.  Talked to them and Sam's customer service.  I will be calling Stealth Cam back this week looking for a wireless credit.

Camera

This is the first year i try this brand.  As usual, there are some missed shots, but i dont think it misses a bunch.  Having both sim cards is a huge plus as it almost never has signal issues like some of my spypoints did.  Picture quality is grrat compared to ky spypoints but that is expected since the spypoints are 10mp & these are 30mp.  Ive bought 4 of these and ive really been impressed.

Great cel cam so far

The night distance range for pictures is less than half of what is advertised. I only got about 30 feet not 85 feet. I do get some eyes glowing past 30 feet but do not know what it is.  There are times that it will NOT take a picture at all even with me in front of it at 25 feet day or night. It eats batteries, I had to change them 2 times a month. 8 batteries each time, that's 16 a month at a cost of about 15 bucks for the good ones. I have had it wait to send me the pictures 10 hours or so after taken. It connected to a service just fine every time.  The deer do notice the red IR if looking toward the cam. The location of the cam you must put that info in, it will NOT tell you where it is like a phone that is stolen as it should.  I have not been able to do a "on demand" not sure why.

Not good as advertised.

The trigger distance was alot shorter than I had hoped. I couldn't trigger a picture until i was around 30 ft away from the camera..... this won't work for what i need.

Overall not bad for the price

Beautiful full color day time photos BUT blurry black and white night photos.  $5 - 20 per month charge.  Not what I wanted.

Don't buy

I bought 3 of these December 2021 on a trip in Flordia.  We got back and they got put in a stack in a corner.  I got them out of the package last week and they all 3 won't connect to the network   AT&T or Verizon either one will connect.  Now the lovely folks at Stealth Cam are telling me that the capacitor can leak out and get moisture if not used.  How does it go bad sitting in a plastic sealed package on a product designed to put outside in the elements.  They are offering a 30% off.  Not a great first experience with Stealth Cam products.

First step is off a cliff with not help.

If you buy this product and it says "60 days unlimited data" and "Data plans as low as $4 month" on the front of the package, DO NOT expect to get either one of them. It's not true. There is no free 60 days and plans start at $5, not $4. Emailed and also left online support request, no response from Stelathcam. After 15 days I called Stealthcam and they told me the deal advertised on their product was not available and tried to tell me it was Sam's clubs fault. Clearly Stealthcam printed the promotion on the packaging, not Sam's. They then offered me 1/2 of what the promo stated until I pressed the legal issues of false advertisement. They then connected me with somebody higher up in the chain who decided to give me the 60 days free.

So the camera has been hanging on a tree for 15 days now, waiting on a cell plan. I go back to the camera after getting the free 60 days finally and two of the batteries have blown up and leaking acid inside the battery case. Pulled it off the tree and will be returning it to Sam's ASAP.

Seems like Sam's Club is selling old model products that didn't sell at regular retail, with invalid promotions on them and that companies are just trying to get rid of!

False Advertising, Bad Batteries, Bad Customer Srv

Stealth Cam will not honor the free 60 days of data.  You don't know this until after you've bought it and attempt to activate the camera.  When you contact them about it they say it isn't included in purchases from Sams Club.  However, 60 days of free data still is listed on the box as part of the purchase price.
