The Rock by Starfrit's 12-In. Fry Pan is ideal for any kitchen. its unique Rock.Tec surface treatment manufacturing process uses small metal balls which, once projected onto the surface, modify its composition and make it 50% more durable and provide superior resistance to scratches and abrasion. The non-stick performance is therefore tripled, guaranteeing you an ultra-efficient and ultra durable rock-like finish. The extra thick forged aluminum base allows for perfect heat distribution and even cooking. This Fry Pan comes with helper handle which is extremely useful in handling the pan. The helper handle distributes weight evenly, and can aid with transferring dishes from the stovetop to the table or with pouring liquids out of the pan. The Rock by Starfrit's 12-In Fry Pan is compatible with the following heat sources: gas, electric, glass ceramic and halogen and induction. This pan is easy to clean and dishwasher safe with a 3-year warranty plus a lifetime warranty on not to warp. Maintenance Before using your new cookware, wash it thoroughly in hot, soapy water using a soft cloth or sponge. Dry completely. To increase the performance of the non-stick coating, it is recommended to add a teaspoon of oil before each use. Never heat an empty utensil. Make sure there is always fat, liquid or food before placing your cookware on the heat. Always use low to medium heat. This cookware should NEVER be used on high heat. Maximum both for preheating and during cooking since excessive temperatures risk irreversibly damaging the non-stick surface. In order not to pierce the non-stick coating, never cut anything in the cooking utensil or use sharp utensils. Always add salt to water when it has started to boil. When the grains of salt settle on the bottom of the utensil, they attack the metal when the heat melts them. It is not recommended to use a metal scouring pad to clean the non-stick surface. We had the Member's Mark comparable pan and felt that, although it did the job very well, it was heavier than we wanted it to be and, for its size, difficult to manage without two-hand capability.  Our solution was to try the Starfrit.  And, it works wonderfully!  You don't have to turn the heat up as high, cleans up quick, lighter than the MM pan and with the opposite handle transfers from stove to tabletop easily!  Comparably priced...We love it!

Better than Member's Mark...

Wonderful. A nontoxic, nonstick, dishwasher safe, and oven safe do-it-all pan. It's heavy enough to be sturdy and heavy duty, but not super heavy like iron pans.
You can feel the "rock" texture inside the pan which I like. So many imposters try to pass off regular nonstick by giving it a speckled appearance. This IS the newer, better non-stick! 
It seems well balanced and is big enough for a one pan meal, but I wish itcame with a lid. It's too big for a standard 12" lid. It's big enough that storing it in a little kitchen would be much easier if it had two "ear" handles. I do appreciate they did put one ear handle along with the long pan handle. I may contact the company to ask if they can ship me an extra ear handle for easier cleaning and storage. I'll also ask if they can recommend a lid proven to be an accurate fit. 
I received it yesterday and I will update my review if my opinion changes away from the original 5 star rating.

Excellent extra large pan! Definitely larger than size indicated - closer to 14” diameter. Food does not stick and easy clean up.
