I bought these for my WFH office, and they are really nice, it's a thin highlighter and it does not smudge. Even pages that were just printed. I've tried several different brands, and finally a highlighter, available in multiple colors, that do not smudge!

Many products are not harmed in the various marketeering shenanigans manufacturers do in the game of profit %26 loss, but others suffer labels "improved", "more convenient size", or other attempts to disguise cutting production related costs.  That is merely a part of how business is conducted in this physical world.  Excuses or blame are often mislabeled elsewise to hide these or other things from customers.  That is all part of distract %26 misdirect.  Sadly, similar garbage seems to have struck at the one-time industry leader Sharpie.  Upon buying a top-notch highlighter product, the name was changed to align with the famed Sharpie reputation.  That move was a smooth one, %26 succeeded in claiming the top spot of preferred highlighters, %26 expanded the category slightly to include ballpoint pen-size versions for a niche market.  Aah, those were the days, eh?  Sharpie now seems to have stumbled into a corner by cutting the wrong production expenses, %26 I truly do hope they rescue the nich market pen-size highlighter soon.  WalMart warehousing was severely reduced early in the long string of questionable screwball changes that fouled the waters even more in what could be labeled "the WalMart experience".  Amidst far more leisurely renewing shelf stock of frequently sold items in most departments, the retail titan manipulates many portions of the free market system.  Some of those corporate moves are good... sometimes.  Perpetrating these serial killer marketeering plans is not far from those of Home Depot %26 DNC is very bad for local %26 national economies on every level, except corporate profit, which is the main reason to conduct business in what is known as "the free world".  Intentionally bankrupting American small business owners merely to eliminate competition is not good business, nor is it ethical.  It is possible repeat purchases of traincar loads of product could entice manufacturers to reduce quantity or quality of the product to satisfy these huge-scale product orders %26 not lose money in the deal.  That was done in manipulating toilet paper sales.  Very many of these everyday sneak attacks on the economy are unnoticed by most folks, then Joe %26 others claims no connection to failing economy.  Right.  Let's go, Brandon.  Well, merely reducing the quality of pen-size highlighters won't tumble Pelossi's house into the ocean.  Most of these correlations are not easily connected with the non-existent convenience of obvious paper trails, maybe.  Either way, I still use the many fabulous Sharpie markers on daily basis.  Like Stanley thermos bottles, they are the best made in this world.

Actually the worst. I have only had them two days and they are dry and the tip broke off the purple one. I'm so sad. Please send me good ones. I'm sure they are just old. Usually sharpies are good products. These are terrible.

Old and dry from day one.

These are high quality highlighter, albeit a bit pricey I think but it's hard to find the full 'rainbow' of colors all together and these will last me quite awhile. I do wish they did an even 2 of each color and not skimp on the hard to find purple.

Quality highlighters

I bought these for myself to highlight Bible passages. However, my great-granddaughters love them more than I do. The first place they head to, when they come to see Gigi, is for my markers.
