Includes many of the beloved and iconic Sesame Street characters: Elmo, Zoe, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, and more! Elmo is a three-and-a-half year old muppet and his birthday is on February 3. Elmo characterically avoids pronouns in reference to himself and instead uses the third person when referring to himself as in "Elmo want this" instead of "I want this." In fact, Elmo was discovered as an extra red puppet lying around the Sesame Street studio and cast members would pick up the then-unnamed puppet and create a personality. Sesame Street premiered on the National Educational Television as a series run in the United States on November 19, 1969, so it is more than 55 years going strong! NET's succesor is the Public Broacsticng Service, which started in late 1970, which many are more familiar with today as PBS. Three replaceable long-life 357/AG13/LR44 alkaline manganese (non-lithium) button cell batteries are included. Five sound buttons are at the press of a finger. Each board book contains five content spreads.
