This 85 year old reviewer Is totally In love with his new 85 inch QLED Samsung TV. All aspects of this TV exceed any I have previously owned. it takes TV viewing and enjoyment to a new level. The brilliant contrast and brightness of the picture is awesome. The TV offers options and features that I have never experienced previously. Learning and understanding this TV and its numerous features has taken me to new levels of enjoyment in my later years.

The only issue I'm having is some older movies and tv shows have an off color of the faces at times. I'm not sure if I have the incorrect picture mode set. I've tried all settings but still see the off color at times.

Movie Theater like experience

Best picture I have seen on anybody's TV. The black levels are always perfect and the TV is so bright I use it on standard most of the time except uncertain Sports. Absolutely love the TV. It supports all the apps that I need and has bold enough sound I don't even need my home theater system. Definitely would recommend to anybody.

Absolutely Great TV experience

An absolutely gorgeous TV. A mini LED technology is phenomenal. Such a bright bold TV. The upscaling and contrast are beautiful the smoothness when watching things like soccer and how it attracts the ball. On the sound stage with my Samsung sound bar but you had a completely immersive set up

Gorgeous TV

It's a big, beautiful picture that I love being wrapped up in. But the picture is grainy and I can't find a way to tune it to better clarity. The volume is difficult to get “just right” also. But I'm sort of deaf so the fault may be mine. I don't like that so many controls and settings are fixed, or unsettable.

Not so great connecting through eARC

As a long-time Samsung loyalist who has purchased many of their TVs over the years, I bought this to replace a 5-year-old 75-inch Samsung model. I was incredibly excited, but after living with it, I am seriously questioning whether it's time to switch brands. I expected a solid mid-tier experience, but instead, this feels like a low-end budget TV wrapped in advertising gimmicks.

Here is why this model falls short:

- Cheap, Flimsy Build Quality: The base stand is incredibly disappointing. It is made of lightweight plastic and feels shockingly cheap. Honestly, I was genuinely afraid to place a massive TV on it, questioning if it could even hold the weight.

 - Sluggish User Interface: The TV menu is painfully slow and unresponsive. Navigating through settings or apps feels like a chore rather than a premium smart TV experience.

 - Broken Ecosystem (Q-Symphony Echoes): You would think a Samsung TV would pair seamlessly with a Samsung Q910C soundbar, but that isn't the case. No matter what settings I tweak, using the "Q-Symphony" feature creates a terrible, distracting echo.

- Washed-Out "AI" Picture Quality: The heavily marketed AI Picture Mode is awful. Instead of optimizing the image, it completely blows out the brightness and contrast, leaving the picture looking incredibly washed out.

 - Useless "AI Soccer Mode": Speaking of gimmicks, the "AI Soccer Mode" seems entirely nonexistent. Watching the 2026 FIFA games, I noticed absolutely zero difference in picture or audio quality with this mode enabled.

- Poor Remote Design & Compatibility: The included remote is tiny, flat, and easily slips out of your hand. To make matters worse, I have been completely unable to get it to sync or work properly with my Verizon FIOS set-top box.

Final Verdict:
I didn't expect top-tier flagship performance, but I did expect mid-tier quality. Instead, this feels like a cheap framework propped up by marketing buzzwords. If this is where Samsung's quality is heading, my next TV will likely be from a different brand. Not recommended.
