I purchase 10-15 boxes a week and I throw half of every bag away due to them being smashed. Waste of money

Smashed!

I have been buying these chips for years. They are a lot cheaper than the name brand. They are a lot thicker than Tostitos. I like the thinner, crispier chips better but these are good. There are pros and cons. There are 2 bags in the box. Each bag is huge. My kids often rip the bag down the sides and then you must put them in a ziplock bag and it takes several. We use a lot of tortilla chips in my house so these work well. They are pretty salty. That is my favorite but one of my kids prefers the chips that are lightly salted. He eats these anyway. You also have to store the two bags until you use them. Smaller bags are easier. I like the name brands better but name brands are usually a lot more expensive, even at Sam's. These are good enough, especially when you are using them for dip. They are fine. If you have a thick dip they hold up better than some thinner chips.

Usually cheaper than Tostitos

They improved their recipe recently. Same taste. The new chips have more "body" and don't break as easy as old recipe, or any other brand that I've tried. They survive shipping better too--much less breakage & crumbs than previous recipe. These chips also have less sodium than most--about the same as Sam's Crunchmaster brand chips.

I  ordered these online, however, the box I received expired within two weeks of receipt. Either the employee didnt pay attention to the best by date or just didn't do their job!!! I order online due to being disabled so running out to Sam's club to return the product is a hardship for me.

Be Careful When Ordering Online Products

Stocking up on this item..So I ordered fore boxes. And it seems that all the Tortilla chips boxes/bags are the same, as the 1st one that I opened and tried multiple times, just to make sure it wasn't just a few chips at the top of the bag.  They were quite overdone and or over oiled at least and also possibly overdone. So hopefully returning all of them On time, instead of having to only through them in then trash.

NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE

My reason for the rating was both bags of chips were crushed. I bought them to make nachos with. Sams is amazing to order from. They have great service but I will no longer order chips. I can never find these chips in store. So I ordered on line.

Crushed merchandise

I have already submitted this review once, but happy to do it again for emphasis!  Four boxes of these chips were shipped to me in one huge box, with no tag for fragile or any indication the contents were very breakable.  As I stated before, these cannot be purchased in-store per an employee, so I was forced to order online for shipment.  I chatted with a customer representative to suggest that they be marked fragile, only to find out later she was located in El Salvador???!!! (Regardless of location, she assured me that my chips would arrive in great condition!)  These were for a Veteran's dinner at our American Legion.  At least 1/3 of every bag of chips (2 bags per box) were broken into a size less than 1/2 chip, and many were less than 1/3 chip, and these had to be thrown away because you cannot dip that size into salsa or guacamole!  In my previous review I asked to be reimbursed in some way for the waste.  I have another similar dinner coming in May and would love to purchase these chips, but absolutely will not unless I can purchase at my local Sam's Club.
